i was having a casual chat with my little girl of 6 last night ansd she said she loved her cousins (her disfellowshipped aunties girls ) then she said we also have some other familie that we have not seEn for ages havnt we (i thought she had forgot them ) i said well thats because they belong to a silly religion that wont let them see us (her daddy is disfellowshipped ) she replied oh well lets go and see them instead then ! how do i handle that ?

why are women so forgiving in jehovahs witnesses ?
by looloo ini saw a jw girl i used to work with a few weeks back who was married for about 8 years and has 2 children , she was in a right state and told me her husband had just left her for a work collegue and said he no longer loved her !
within a month i see her again and she took him back within a wk of him going to live with this other woman , she told me she blamed herself for not having sex often enough !and they were working on their marriage !
why would you want someone who said they no longer loved you ?

i saw a jw girl i used to work with a few weeks back who was married for about 8 years and has 2 children , she was in a right state and told me her husband had just left her for a work collegue and said he no longer loved her ! within a month i see her again and she took him back within a wk of him going to live with this other woman , she told me she blamed herself for not having sex often enough !and they were working on their marriage ! why would you want someone who said they no longer loved you ? i also had a close friend who found out after her husband had denied for 2 years sleeping with his brothers wife (all jws) that he had actually had a fling with her , that friend felt able to forgive that despite knowing he had also had underage girl relationships too , another jw woman stayed with her jw husband despite it coming out that he had been having an affair with a sister in the cong for five years , i dont think i could forgive such a betrayel myself , but do you think its because jw women know they are unlikley to get anyone else so just put up with it ? where as a jw man has quite a good chance to get another wife , because of all the desperate women .

How dangers is field service really, has anyone ever heard of someone being hurt or killed while doing some form of witnessing
by life is to short inok my other thread was not totally what i was after.
after thinking it through i was wondering if any of you have ever heard of someone being hurt by a householder in field service.. .
like i mentioned in my latest thread about the sister who was murdered and then her death was blamed on her.. i know in the hall i grew up in there were many sex offenders living in the area.

my husband was a pioneer age 16 to 17 and reg called on a man in his sixtys with his dad to give the magazines , after my hub got disfellowshipped aged 17 , he saw this man while passing his house one day and the man gave him 20 pounds after pasing the time of day with him , nxt time he saw him he tried to get him in his house with an offer of showing him mags with "mucky women " in them ,! i latEr found out that this man was an ex sex offender , and often had young boys round his house ! my hub was so naive having grown up in the cult he hadnt realised he was being "groomed"

i was once "told off "when a pioneer saw my envelope for the red cross with some cash in waiting to be collected at my door , i hadnt realised it was "wrong " to give to starving children etc . one of the first things i did after i realised it was a cult was to set up a standing order to go out my account each month as a fingers up to the dubbies ! i buy a poppy for the same reason and hope to see a jw !

concerning "morality" in the congregation, did you ever think "how do we have the nerve to judge "worldley " people ?
by looloo inwhen i was a study , at first i was really impressed with the high morals in the congregation and how "happy "everyone seemed , i eventually fell for a pioneer and commited adultery , which i felt and was made to feel the most wicked woman in the world for .
(i am married to him now ) but after i left i found out just how much had really been going on in the cong , there was one brother who had been having an affair for 5 years with a sister (he was married ) he only got reprooved and she was disfellowshipped !
i found out lots of people who wed in the hall had already done the "deed" child abuse had not been reported etc domestic violence situations , all though i am not in a position to judge "wrong doing " myself im amazed that so many in the cong had the nerve to look down on church goers "immorality " or "worldly people considering what they knew had gone on in the kingdom hall !.

when i finally realised that it was not for me anymore , i said to an elder that i couldnt beleive they were not allowed to watch soap operas as in my experiance what goes on the congregation was no different to any soap opera , in fact if a film was made of that one congregation alone i think it would have been far more dramatic than any soap i have ever seen!

Just a short observation on my Bible study.
by outlander ini thought it would be fun to say yes to a weekly bible study just to see how far i could go in undermining the j.w.
beliefs, also to be honest i thought it would make a family member happy.
so i slowly and methodically refuted and questioned all the nutty things that my study teacher, or whatever he's called, tried to throw at me over a period of about 4 months.

by looloo inive noticed when someone does a thread like the one recently called "stayed up all night and realised its a cult " it can be read by thousands of people and the same applies when its some new change in the borg going on , but most posts are not usually read by more than a few hundred , are these the "lurkers" if so why do you think they have the nerve to read on "wicked apostate"sites that tell "lies " but darnt comment ?
is it early days for them with the blinkers coming off ?
