  '' i don't hand in ''service reports'',attend maybe 3 meetings a month,ain't signed up for the ministry school and will never attend any convention or the ''book study.

  My first panic attack

  guess where my first panic attack occurred?

  at the kindom hall of course.

  i was 14yrs old and thought i was being "possessed by a demon".. panic attacks became more common, and at the age of 18 i was diagnosed with "panic disorder with depression".

  I can relate to your feelings. I started having constant panic attacks since I was 10 years old. At that time, there was no knowledge of the condition, so the Endocrinologist thought that I had an "chemical imbalance caused by high sugar levels", or something like that...

  I repressed all my feelings about it for years, because nobody seemed to understand what was happening with me. I thought that people were going to think that I was crazy, or "not spiritual enough". I felt that I was "disconnected" for moments, sweating, short of breath, and with a sensation that everything was irreal. It was horrible.

  I was correctly diagnosed at 26 years old, when I decided to visit a Phychiatrist. "General Anxiety Disorder, with Panic Attacks" and "adaptative disorder". I've been in medication since, and now I'm 35... And feeling kind of "normal" after so many years.

  The funny thing is that I don't have any family member with a similar condition!!!

  1. bethel in ny suspect high level apostate, cant identify it but know its there.

  2. major organizational changes about to start rolling out, one is changes to the "service committee" and titles, po to be done away with, thats all i know for now.

  was told that if you are the sort of person that cant handle changes, you wont stay in the org for long.

  i called her today to know how she's doing and all that...we were chatting about different things, and she mentions that she was in the circuit assembly today...and then it went like this.... "have you gone to any of the meetings since you moved to texas?

  "i don't think so, mother.

  no, i won't", i replied..

  Hey Reverend!

  I think it is a positive thing that you and your mom "decided to respect each other's beliefs". At least that way you can still maintain a relationship with her.

  It sucks to know how the WT keeps our family held "hostage". Each time that I try to reason with my mom I receive the same reactions... "you know this is the Truth(tm)", etc...

  By the way, the person that Mastodon mentioned, I think I know who she is... Am I right??

  Elders and JWs who study a lot...

  elders, for example, through jcs are privied to info about the jw involvement with the un, 607 bce, etc, etc... .

  people who actually do study a lot, you think they figured it out???.

  There are only a few Elders that REALLY study the Bible. Have you noticed that even "reading the bible" is not a requisite to become an Elder???

  Most of us are unaware of the UN scandals and stuff, and only the President and the Secretary have immediate access to the letters from the WT. We are teached to "follow theocratic procedures(tm)", and that's all. If you don't do research, you became a robot, and a part of the Borg.

  It was only when I started to REALLY study the bible that I noticed how texts are used out of context. I know of at least 2 fellow Elders and 1 MS that have concluded that we don't have the Truth(tm). We are still in because our family is held hostage...

  it will give us an indication on how many people are actually coming away from the borg.. i may not be replying all the time but will pop in every day of so.. lets keep this thread going and use it to welcome new ones.
