  Look how far we have come!

  i just wanted to share with everyone who knows my hubby (jst2laws) & my situation just how far we have come since last spring.

  it was at that time that we started fading, he by stepping down as an elder and together trying to become inactive without much fanfare.

  well last night hubby thought he might want to have some fun over at a jw site and tried to get on that site when he realized, and then said to me, that he doesnt know the answers to the questions they were asking.

  How many hours are falsely reported?

  in the january 1 issue of each year, they harp on about how many hours the jws did last year etc etc.. how many hours are possibly falsely reported?.

  I'm almost embarrased to admit this, but I never cheated on my time.
  I believed that Jehovah saw all and knew all. As a result of refusing to lie, I received many a visit to "encourage" me to go out in service. I was viewed as spiritually weak. I started to drift away when I realized the elders were not interested in my welfare, they were only interested in my report.

  my future brother in law (futurebro) is a great guy, as ive mentioned.

  he really cares about people, doesnt want to hurt anyones feelings.

  yet, now he was trapped between doing the right thing, and possibly losing his parents.

  I've been out in service with aggressive sisters who ignored no trespassing signs saying "they don't mean us, though."
  Talk about shaking in your shoes on THOSE calls.

  other than the kingdom songs i`m sure we must have squeezed in some time to listen to the radio between territories and on the way to the mettings.. my musical tastes vary from classical to heavy head banging music,basically i like everything!i love the cult,rush,van halen,boston,etc anything from the 80`s retro era.. but my favourite song would be everything counts by depech mode and she sells sanctuary by the cult!.

  could any one tell me which of the publications would have the account of rutherford's trial and subsequent jail time.

  i have many of the older books, nothing since 1990 or thereabouts.

  i want to show someone the vast difference in stories.

  I re-read the horrible accounts of tarring and feathering, whipping, beatings, etc. So much suffering, and what did it prove? People sacrificing their lives and dignity, and at one time I believed it was so noble.

  So Rutherford brought all this persecution on his people. Talk about self-fullfilling prophecies.
  The more I read of this, the more I realize what a fool I was to believe everything I read without questioning it.

  Thank you both so much for the info. My bound volumes only go up to 90 or 91. Don't think I have any books before 1970 but will look thru my mothers stuff to see if I can find anything, will print it out if I do. Thanks again.
