just setting the record straight.

there is another thread that notes a claim on wiki that said that ray has died.. he had a stroke yesterday, and is in the hospital.

he is still alive.

What happened to all the JW talk about the King of the North and Peace & Security?

when i left the jw's in 95', talk of the king of the north and peace & security was still big close to the end items.

haven't seen them mentioned much since i've been coming here.

what's the latest from the wts on these 2 subjects?.

WHEN I WAS IN >>>>>I loved that"Your will be done on earth" book.....Jesus,>> was I misled Then 1986 ??When they are saying peace and security??? instant destruction was to come upon them...HELLLLLOOOOOO that was in 1986.Oh yeah the UN is the abomination that causes desolation,turning on religion that brings on the tribulation culminating in Harmaggeddon.Heellllloooooo this is the year 2010.The Your Will Be Done Book is defunct!!The U.N Debacle is history except for the jw`s who have their head in the sands,and of course 1986 ,when the UN proclaimed it as the year of peace and security,and nothing happened???? Another failed prophecy by the faithfull and disreet slave class

Does "God" Exist?

If" God" the creator of the universe does indeed exist, according to the" Bible"why then is he/she so elusive???The poor people in India beleive in multitudes of gods,and have done so for centuries even before Jesus Christ came on the scene ,why hasn`t God sent prophets to them to set them straight??A similar argument could be said of mainland china,1 in 4 people on earth are chinese??(,at least back in the `70`s that is.)The same argument could be put forward for countless other nationalities in the world.The scripture I love is Psalm 146 :3

Do not put your trust in nobles

Nor in the son of earthling man,to whom no salvation belongs.

And yet what are we expected to beleive ,not something that God has miraculousy revealed to us,but something that a few men (nobles) those of the governing body who have virtually said "trust us "we are telling you what Gods truths are {,and remember this is only to a small select group of people in the world } (the chosen ones )on earth) .Isnt that a contradiction ?? On the one hand we are told not to put our trust in men..... on the other hand we are expected to beleive in the interpretations men,...... the governing body give to scriptures,.....which by the way have proved to be innaccurate time and time again this 20th century

Their are only 7.3 million Jehovah`s Witnesses worldwide,a pittance in the population of the earth,and each year the GAP gets wider and wider .In the most populated regions of the earth JW`s hardly exist.

If God really did exist,And he did indeed LOVE the world that he gave" his only begotten son,"he could have done a helluva lot more to save mankind than what is in the bible. smiddy

How Often Do You Check To See If You've Got Mail Here?

i find that i check 2 or 3 times a week and generally have no jwn mail..

I only just recently worked out how to check my mail some of which were over a year ago.It`s hard to teach an old fogey (dog) new tricks.When I tried to open them an error would crop up,I persisted in trying,double clicking,and they appeared.I now check my mail but I think people got cheesed off with me.

Didn`t the" Aid to Bible Understanding "book first edition ,under the heading JEHOVAH,acknowledge that the first recorded name of Jehovah in english was by a german catholic monk???,however they conceded that the more accurate pronunciation of the divine name would be something like Yahweh or a similar equivalent.Their adopting of Jehovah as the name for God today was because it was the most accepted and popular name in use of that day, And remember this was centuries ago .( I now ask the question by who?? Answer by the bible scholars and theologians of christendom who Jehovah`s Witnesses despise as agents of the god of this system of things Satan the devil) I rest my case

I`m talking to a group about JW`s I need your input ? please rerspond!!

hi, guys,.

i`m a member of u3a in our local regional community,in a discussion group with approximately 16 members and have been asked to give my experiences to being a jehovah`s witness for 33 yrs and now classifying myself as an agnostic leaning towards atheism.i do of course have some idea how to proceed with this project,however your input would be greatly appreciated.i have 45 mins to present my case, then questions from others present would follow.i feel this would be a great advantage to show what the wtb&ts is all about,without coming across as a disgruntled,dissolutioned,bitter person with an axe to grind.which i am not.however i would like to present this "expose" if you like in a professional manner .this is to take place on the 26th of may.. now i`m not going to be all doom and gloom about the wtb&ts i will be highlighting some of their acheivements,the biggest single publishing organization,distributing millions of literature wordwide in numbers of languages that exceeds readers digest.at one time they had 4 publications in the guiness book of records in the top 10 most widely distributed publications available.and also in the early years they were the fore runners of religous freedoms.. so please feel free to contribute some information that will help some poor soul for falling victim to this insidious organization smiddy.

Hi,guys, today I gave my presentation to a small group of people in our discussion group.It was an informal setting,I deliberated for hours as to how I was going to present it,and changed my tack more times than jessica watson did on her global voyage.So I decided at the last moment to give it in as conversationally a manner as I could,starting off with a brief discussion on the origin of the IBSA to my involvement with jw`s in 1960.Of course with a group like this,questions come up interrupting your train of thought,then getting back on track involves a bit of time,however I then proceeded to explain how I, at 19 yrs of age became involved with the witnesses.Of course then bringing up more questions.I then tackled some of the beleifs and practices of jw`s which are unique to them,which generated more questions and discussion.I gave them some facts and figures of witness acheivements (I tried not to be derogatory but gave credit where credit was due) but also showed how a mind control group can stifle the life out of a human being.I talked and answered qstions for a good solid hour,the end of which they showed their appreciation with a round of applause and thanked me for an enlightening talk.( It made my heart glad that they were so appreciative)

Thank you for your response,but I feel JW`s have more influence over more people than Mormons or Moonies because of their door to door activities,on a bigger scale.
