I think it is unusual for the normal dub...but your wife would not want to look like "scrooge" to her peeps, so she may consider this their year end gift!

Why do Ex-JWs start celebrating pagan Christmas?

hiya guys and gals.

im not trying to be self-righteous but i want to understand the thought process of someone who knows the origins of christmas, but starts celebrating it (putting up christmas tree, exchanging wrapped gifts; repeating merry christmas to everyone they see in the month of december)??

it seems very silly to me (imo) after knowing how and why christmas was created (to cater to pagans sun worship and convert to christianity)!!

When I first left, I didn't celebrate christmas and felt guilty about even going to a christmas dinner. Then I realized I was allowing the JW's to still hold control over me and my thinking. From then on I did celebrate. My son LOVES x-mas and yes he believes in Santa and it is not going to stunt him one bit when he gets older!

There are so many things we do and have that have pagan origins. Even the JW's!!

woman shoots and kills intruder in lincoln county cushing a woman with a shotgun was on the phone to a 911 dispatcher this morning in lincoln county when she shot and killed an intruder who crashed through her back patio door.. .

donna jackson, 56, told the dispatcher a man she didn't know was at her sliding glass door to her back patio about 12:40 a.m. at 352112 e 800 road south of the cushing city limits, said lincoln county sheriff chuck mangion.. she was armed with a 16-gauge shotgun when the dispatcher heard the glass door smash and the shotgun blast, mangion said.. a man identified as billy dean riley, 53, was struck once in the chest and pronounced dead when emergency medical workers arrived, mangion said.. jackson was not harmed.. jackson was home alone when her dog woke her up, mangion said.

she turned all the lights in the house on and then armed herself with the shotgun.

I think it's normal they have to do a so called "investigation" but will then close it without any charges. She did the same thing I would have!

Nancy Grace. Watch her everytime she's on. She tells it like it is and doesn't take any bullshit!

I really like Melrose Place on Tuesday nights, although it's not as good as the original.

King of Queens, we have all the dvd's. I think my son can recite everyline! He thinks he is Doug Heffernan! He tells me I'm bitchy like Carrie. lol

I like Food Network and TLC too (as long as Jon & Kate is not on...*gag*)

Palmtree...I feel for ya! Divorce takes freakin forever!! Here in NC anyway...Took 1 yr and 3 mths to get mine finalized. The custody issue took a total of 4 freakin years!!!!!!!! The Court system totally sucks!
