BLONDIE- Hey thanks for providing the link to the child welfare information from the government concerning different states laws. I appreciate your kind sentiments towards supporting the victims in Sacramento , I understand it's a long way to travel from back east. But your words of support are very much appreciated. You bring up some really great points about how each of us can get involved through organization's that are trying to be proactive in protecting abuse victims. Thanks for those ideas. ATLANTIS- Indeed, I agree , legitimate laws need to be passed not only in the United States , but all over the world to stop these crimes from proliferating against minor children. Organized religions and their leaders have gotten away with far too much- for far too long. Time for them to pay the piper. To be held responsible.

I was asked by my friend Penelope on this board to post links about this important EX-JW child abuse meeting occurring March 8th, 2019 at the town hall about a mile from the capitol. So anybody who can make it is welcome to attend this event March 8th to support these victims of child sex abuse and support the effort that scaars.org. is accomplishing here. Just check out the links and the hope is that enough attention can be brought to these crimes that lawmakers at least in California will STOP giving priests, elders, or other authority figures within the church a green light to hide these crimes. Make it a law for them to report child abuse, period.

Another thing. I just can't stand the passive aggressive stance WT makes in the next comment in the next sentence right after they claim they " don't interfere with law enforcement " .
This quote > " Instead, the elders judge, or determine, whether an individual can remain in the congregation. " By stating this RIGHT AFTER claiming they don't " interfere " with law enforcement - it's like the GB or WT leaders are strutting their authority to " worldly secular authorities " like saying - " nah, nah, na, na -nah WE determine who can remain a JW - secular authorities DO NOT . "
So stupidly, inadvertently, WT Society ADMITS that THEIR standards are much LOWER for a child molester to remain in the congregation as a JW than the standards of worldly secular authorities locking up a child molester for 50, 60 years in prison ! Incredible. Hypothetically a JW child molester within the WT organization might be " forgiven " just reproved and remain a JW - even though the police authorities and courts of the land find him guilty and he serves life in prison ! Yet he's STILL in good standing as an alleged " JW christian " while serving his prison term. Now wrap your mind around THAT for a moment- and see if it makes you want to vomit.
