LONG HAIR GAL- Yeah, it was really interesting taking the DNA test. I was really surprised I was 3.1 % Neanderthal. My wife thinks it's sexy though, so hey, that's what counts with me. I don't walk around dragging her by her hair or anything or walk around with a club like Fred Flintstone- I promise . I'm a pretty normal guy. lol. Take care, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Neanderthals - Meet Your Ancestors
by Earnest intonight (sunday, 13th may) at 20:00 on bbc 2 ... for neanderthal believers, agnostics and deniers.. this first programme in a two-part series investigates what neanderthals looked like and and how they lived in their ice age world.
it turns out that almost everything we thought we knew about them is wrong.
they weren't hunched, grunting, knuckle-dragging ape-men at all.

XANTHIPPE- Hey thanks. Yeah, I don't know what's out there. I don't speak in absolutes on this subject. All I can share is my actual experiences I've had and those experiences were real I guarantee that. A bit unnerving, but yet calming as well - if that makes any sense. Once it happened several times , I found there's no reason to fear it. I'm glad you've had those experiences too and have an open mind to it without fear. What did Franklin Roosevelt state one time " there's nothing to fear, but fear itself " ? lol. Take care, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

I had heard she struggled with depression for years, very sad. Watching that you tube of Christopher Reeve and her makes me wonder where the years have gone. They're both gone now. None of us get any younger - contrary to the ridiculous promises of the WT Society. Rest in peace Margot , Peace out, Mr. Flipper

WHYNOT- Hey thanks. Yeah, the experiences I've had in dreams, and contacts through electrical transmissions are truly amazing. Hey look, I'm not in a position to say what actually happens after death. None of us will really ever know until we die - and we're in that state. I do not believe anybody ever comes back physically, but little messages through electronic transmissions or dreams, possibly- I've had some interesting experiences. I'm open to the possibilities . I'm not close minded . Take care, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

WHYNOT- Interesting thread. I exited the JW's about 15 years ago at age 44 and my ex-wife is still a fanatic JW who lives in California. And she was absolutely terrified of anything supernatural . My JW sister freaked out years ago when her husband and her moved next door to what they discovered was a female witch- started having creepy experiences, etc.
I do believe that not only JW's , but religious people who claim to be Christians get freaked out over " the Devil " or " demons " as they are indoctrinated to believe all supernatural or after life connections are " bad " or " evil " .
I have a little Native American in me and since leaving the JW cult - I've had many experiences with dead relatives or deceased friends trying to contact me through dreams, or electronic transmissions through cell phones or computers. I'm not afraid of it in the least. It's kind of cool that they contact me. I feel honored. And I'm a agnostic / atheist - yet from my experiences I do believe that the life spirit or energy in humans very possibly, and most probably does live on invisibly and they choose to connect to those of us who are receptive to connecting.
Since 2010 I've also logged over 700 pages of my dreams . I keep track and write down most all of my dreams that I remember- so my subconscious mind is very open to communication with entities from beyond. I have no fear whatsoever - as I really do not believe in a " Devil " , " Satan " , or " demons " . I think it's just man made religions trying to invoke fear into people so the church can control them.
There may be spirits or deceased people that play tricks or who are perhaps " evil " in their intentions towards the living, but I'd avoid those anyway like I avoid living humans that are that way. I feel like I'm an intuitive, or lean towards the psychic and any contacts I've had from my deceased mom or close friends have always been very comforting and positive- like they're telling me that they are looking out for me and being my guardian spirits if you will.
I'm not religious at all, but I still believe that we can contact our deceased relatives or friends as I've experienced it myself. I have no fear whatsoever. But I believe lots of people in the United States who are affilated with " Christian " religions in general- including Jehovah's Witnesses - fear the afterlife or supernatural because they're taught that it's " evil " or " Satan " . Which I disagree with. I actually feel kind of sad for them that these JW's run around like a bunch of scared bunny rabbits due to all the other FEAR indoctrination they get from the WT Society.
After 15 years out of the JW cult, I can generally say, there's not much that scares me anymore. I've lost a lot of that " fear " indoctrination. Take care, great thread ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

What makes JDubs so gullible?
by Sour Grapes ini think that jdubs are so gullible because they can't handle reality and are fully invested in a future paradise earth where there will be no problems.
i hope they can cope with the 1,000 reign of jesus that will have a ton of more problems than what they have now.. they may be gullible also because they like not having to think.
they are told what clothes to wear, what to eat, what type of movies they can see, where to go on vacation, what type of car to drive, what to answer when answering during the watchtower study, what is permissible sex for a married couple, etc..

My DNA test I took on 23&Me DNA website said I'm 3.1 % Neanderthal, which makes me 98 % more Neanderthal than the rest of mankind. My son is 2.7 % . Only 2 % of humans have more Neanderthal in them than me ! I was in the top tier percentage wise of my over 1,000 relatives or distant cousins on the 23 & Me website !
I play a mean game of Scrabble with my wife . Animals , wild & domestic love me to pieces. I talk with birds and they talk back. My instincts of smell are very acute. First time Mrs. Flipper & I went on a date, I smelled her. Fortunately it didn't freak her out, actually kind of turned her on- hey we're still together after 12 years !
So we Neanderthals can be lots of fun ! I play guitar, sing & howl at the moon, enjoy romance with my wife, love hiking in the woods, and growing a kick ass vegetable garden. I mean- how much more earthy could this hippy Neanderthal be ? Fortunately I do believe in taking great showers daily and I use deodorant , so the human side of me outweighs the Neanderthal side . lol. I raise my glass and toast all of you Neanderthals out there ! Peace out, mr. Flipper

Overlapping Generations
by JRK ini remember when that came out, my mother didn't catch it in the original article in the wt.
it was in one of the review "do you remember" thingies that she caught it.
she asked me if it means what she thought it meant.

FINKELSTEIN- " WTS intentionally brainwashes people strategically..... by using the imposition of FEAR and PUNISHMENT. " Excellent point .
Exactly my point earlier. Totally agree. And that's one of the huge reasons these JW's won't leave the org in spite of assassine, ridiculously insane teachings - they are controlled by WT leaders through either an imagined fear of destruction at an imaginary " Armageddon " - or - they are in fear of losing their entire social network of friends and family due to the shunning policy
