And the hypocrisy in these instructions needs to be addressed too. The WT Society has PAID for many young men to get a law degree at colleges to become WT attorneys in their legal department- yet rank & file JW's can't serve as a ministerial servant if they get a college education ? Then WT leaders will try to claim " Oh, that's different. The young men getting law degrees are going to college for " kingdom interests " not bettering themselves personally . " Makes me want to puke. WT just sends these guys to college to become attorney's to fight child abuse lawsuits . Real " kingdom interests " . Yep. Sick

Elder father "would check his daughter"
by FatFreek 2005 inseveral days ago our beloved barbara anderson, watchdog of watchtower-abused children, posted our forum’s thread, “slate article: a new “wikileaks for religion” publishes its first trove of documents”.
the new faithleaks web site began hosting document submissions aimed at whistleblowers of a religious bent.
it must’ve caught the eye of some watchtower insider.. “faithleaks, like mormonleaks, is founded on the belief that increased transparency results in fewer untruths, less corruption, and less abuse in any organization.

I'm glad that these creepy religions are being exposed about disgusting practices of crimes against children. I hope a tidal wave of criminal judicial punishment comes against any religion that allows these horrific crimes against children to happen. Time for the ax to fall and chop the head off of the snake like people that run these high control , sick religions and anybody in them who harms children. Peace out, Mr. Flipper

"Go and tell someone who cares...I dont care!"
by stuckinarut2 ini don't usually like the confrontational approach to those on the carts, however this video is a great example of how jws do not really care about child abuse issues!.
the arrogance of this brother is disturbing..... bear with the video.
it gets really interesting around the 6 min mark, where the brother loses his cool.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5chulnnyqs.

WAKE ME Up - " Skidmark of a person " . I love it ! Fantastic ! I have to remember that expression, that's a cool way of saying someone's a douche bag. Thanks for adding some new expressions to my vocabulary. God I love the people on this board, we learn so much ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Interesting. I believe at the 7 minute 30 second point in the video the ex-JW should have stopped filming and it would have had a more forceful impact. Because right at that point the JW was saying " I don't care, I don't care " about child abuse. And the JW said , " Go talk to someone who cares. "
THAT would have been a good time to shut it down and turn the camera off. The EX-JW's point would have been made about how JW's stick their head in the sand on these issues. But to blather on for 22 minutes it did his filming of this a disservice and made him look like the aggressor. Which diminishes the message he's trying to put out. Not the sharpest tool in the shed - I agree. I admire the effort, but by the EX-JW becoming embroiled in too much of a long argument for a video - people watching this might start feeling sorry for the JW thinking the EX-JW is being too aggressive for too long a period. Kind of my take. Thanks for sharing

You know Jehovah's Witnesses and the WT Society are seriously messed up when they put viewing pornography , committing a serious " sin " and attending a university or college as the same " serious " offenses. This cult is terminally weird. It could never be redeemed if it tried.
Bottom line is WT leaders want to maintain stupid JW's so they won't think critically and are easier to control . So disgusting

Unprivileged
by Wake Me Up Before You Jo-Ho insomething just dawned on me today as i processed my assimilation into the real world (thanks to our new poster, @jester, giving me a major throwback to my first post).. when you're a jehovah's witness, you really are in some sort of la la land.
things which are perfectly normal are acts of eating from the table of the demons.
things which are horribly grotesque and extremely unjust are branded as "righteousness".

WAKE ME- Great thread, great thoughts ! I always looked at the term " we are privileged" when I was a JW the same as the GB trying to convince us that " being used " in "Jehovah's organization " was a good thing. It was a manipulation of the use of those words. " Being used " in the real world many times has a negative meaning like - someone is using us up dishonestly- and that's what performing those WT functions or "privileges " was - we were getting " used " but not in a good way

Which is better minimum wage or minimum income?
by hoser inwe were having this discussion in the office the other day and we came to the conclusion minimum wage is better because it still adds to the economy vs minimum income which someone could potentially stay at home and do nothing and still get paid without producing a thing for the greater economy.. thoughts?.
