i am married with 3 kids and my wife and i are inactive, but my wife has made it very clear in speech and action that she wants to go to all meetings, field service, and indoctrinate our kids.

COVERTS- I really, seriously empathize with your position. I went through similar situations with my JW wife when we were still married in the 1990's. She painted me into a corner claiming I wasn't " taking the lead " or being her " spiritual head " . Here's the situation : when guys like you and me have had JW marriage mates that are really hardcore indoctrinated , it's almost impossible to argue JW teachings or ideas with them. Like beating your head against a brick wall- doesn't work and it produces nothing positive. She gets more set in her JW ways , and you get unjustly portrayed as the " devil incarnate " . That's due to the Jehovah's Witness mind control.

I agree with the posters here who say to avoid JW topics with her entirely for the time being as best you can . It will make your existence and life easier to bear while living with your wife. Also I agree - be proactive in disclosing and sharing information with your children about the false promises of the WT Society and injustices happening within the JW organization. But do this of course out of your wife's presence. You didn't say how old your children are- so that's something to take into account about how much you reveal to them.

Hopefully you can live for a few years or some time with this situation- but if you do reach your breaking point in dealing with the stress in your marriage ( and only you know yourself how much emotional stress you can bear ) if it goes downhill to the point where you need to divorce - it's not a crime to do so. In fact, for some of us, it's been the start of a new life in which we become happier, our ex becomes happier , stress free, and our minor children aren't eyewitnesses to the arguments, yelling of spouses, and contention anymore in their day to day lives. So, just saying, it's an option if all else fails. About 8 years after my divorce I met Mrs. Flipper and we've been together 12 years now, married almost that long.

SNARE & RACKET- Very good points you make indeed. Anybody outside the WT Society or JW cult - no matter what great things they did were still considered " unrighteous " or " wicked " by WT Society standards . The only things that mattered to the WT Society was being a JW - nothing else. They even accepted wicked JW's who were pedophiles ! As long as they turn field service time in each month- they viewed people like that in a more favorable light than MLK. Ridiculous. But Martin Luther King was a huge inspiration to humanity, very true. We could use his help in dealing with this racial shit storm in the USA nowadays. Thanks, take care, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

STILL TOTALLY ADD- Great points you bring up indeed. Kindness is a magical elixir that can move mountains. All of us need to increase our use of kindness, including myself.

EYEUSE2BADUB- Good points you bring up. Lots of prejudices pushed forth in the Bible. I feel throughout history religion and political views have been the vehicles that people in public and private use to promote those prejudices. MLK wasn't a saint, had faults- but his heart was in the right place wanting equality for people of all skin colors.

OUTAHERE- Well, lots of men on this planet like JFK, a guy named Trump, and others had moral deficiencies and are good at allegedly money laundering from Russian countries - allegedly - Trump and his cronies- but the difference between Trump and JFK & MLK is that the latter two men actually cared more about helping others than helping themselves.

SIMON- You make very good points indeed. Lots of famous men in history have moral skeleton's in their closet. They aren't all good or all bad. However some with moral weaknesses cared more about helping the public in general than those who seek only to please themselves. MLK sought to help restore race relations and with the divided spirit in the USA right now- his input would definitely have been helpful now
