Very good news. As Punk says - the WT Society needs to continue to be exposed regarding their faulty child abuse policies. Sounds like that's going to happen. It just may get delayed somewhat due to having to go to the different court to bicker over which documents the WT Society will have to release- but it does sound like it's going forward. May justice prevail

Classic "divide and conquer" stuff that keeps what's left of the middle class pissed at the lower classes. I grew up in a family of wannabe republicans, hearing about "welfare queens". They were gonna vote Trump until he really blew it.

Being 60 years old now, I've seen the wages go down, prices go up, work go overseas and corporate higher ups getting obscenely huge pay. I've been self employed and at times worked for people with large money - I was advised by one to grow my business : "Hire a bunch of Mexicans, pay as low as possible." To my protests of not wanting to use people that way - "People like that can't handle money - if you pay them too much you just make problems for them." No joke.

Anyone got a video of Corporate welfare folks complaining about being cut off?

Peer Pressure amongst witnesses

have you noticed just how strong peer pressure is amongst witnesses?.

the desire to match or better one another's "spiritual accomplishments" or decisions in life?.

pioneering - because it is the "right" thing to do.. answering at meetings...perhaps multiple times - because it is the "right" thing to do.. choice of employment.

STUCKINARUT- My wife and I were just talking about this - this morning. And talking about everybody trying to outdo another fellow JW. And talking about the flip-side of this coin also that if a fellow JW expresses doubts about the GB or WT organization - it's like that person who expresses doubts gets whispered about behind his or her back - and in actuality NO JW can openly talk to others in the congregation about their doubts or they will be ratted out to the elders ! It's like the old Mad magazine " spy versus spy " episode where your fellow JW's do NOT honor boundaries and will rat each other out to elders because someone has doubts. Thus you get all these sinister people running around all paranoid scared shitless about talking against the WT organization- or a person they consider a " brother " or a " sister " will rat them out for their doubts. I mean- THIS is insanity . Peace out, Mr. Flipper

I am losing

i haven't posted anything for a bit, but wanted to express how i am losing this battle.

it has been over 3 years now since i woke up about watchtower.

the battle that i am talking about is the tug of war with my wife (i adore her immensely), watchtower is winning, she simply will not give in to my so-called negative thoughts about the religion that we are in.

NO MORE HUSTLE- Never say never. As long as there's life- there's hope that with time your JW wife may see the injustices of the WT Society. You just never know. There are many people on this board who have admitted they were SUCH fanatic JW's and now they are caring, loving, empathetic ex-JW's who help others here to move on with life after exiting the Witnesses. Just stay kind to her, avoid controversial JW topics so she doesn't keep putting up a wall to you- and keep showing her that you care- but don't compromise your principles just to please her in a pretend way . She will see through it and you won't like yourself for doing it. We are with you bud. Keep on keeping on and we support you. And I agree with Lisa Rose , please READ Steve Hassan's books. It is a must read for ex-JW's to see HOW the WT Society controls Witnesses psychologically. It will help you understand your wife more and you'll be able to help her more successfully. hello everybody,i've been lurking for a while and since i really adore reading the biggest part of the posts, especially this italian ( american) guy about his experiences at bethel in the 70's, i feel a little bit guilty for not participating with my contribute.

i am really so sorry for the people that are suffering because of the wts.my story is a " happy ending " story, i married a jw almost 30 years ago and i am here to tell that we are still very happy.

she is very liberal and our 3 kids are " normal ".

ROBERTO- Welcome to the board. My deepest condolences on the loss of your father-in-law. The WT Society and Jehovah's Witnesses are a criminal organization in that thousands of JW's have died worldwide due to the " no blood transfusion " policies. And yet- WT leaders will get away scot free without paying for their crimes of murder from such policies. WT leaders should be brought up on crimes against mankind for not only their blood transfusion policies - but also their faulty child abuse policies.

I'm glad you are here with us and very happy to learn that your wife and children are a family that's still intact and thriving positively. Good for you my friend. Others aren't so lucky. Count yourself fortunate ! Look forward to hearing more from you. Take care, Peace out, Mr. Flipper
