NO MORE HUSTLE- Never say never. As long as there's life- there's hope that with time your JW wife may see the injustices of the WT Society. You just never know. There are many people on this board who have admitted they were SUCH fanatic JW's and now they are caring, loving, empathetic ex-JW's who help others here to move on with life after exiting the Witnesses. Just stay kind to her, avoid controversial JW topics so she doesn't keep putting up a wall to you- and keep showing her that you care- but don't compromise your principles just to please her in a pretend way . She will see through it and you won't like yourself for doing it. We are with you bud. Keep on keeping on and we support you. And I agree with Lisa Rose , please READ Steve Hassan's books. It is a must read for ex-JW's to see HOW the WT Society controls Witnesses psychologically. It will help you understand your wife more and you'll be able to help her more successfully. I am losing
by NoMoreHustle ini haven't posted anything for a bit, but wanted to express how i am losing this battle.
it has been over 3 years now since i woke up about watchtower.
the battle that i am talking about is the tug of war with my wife (i adore her immensely), watchtower is winning, she simply will not give in to my so-called negative thoughts about the religion that we are in.

Hello everybody!
by roberto avon inhello everybody,i've been lurking for a while and since i really adore reading the biggest part of the posts, especially this italian ( american) guy about his experiences at bethel in the 70's, i feel a little bit guilty for not participating with my contribute.
i am really so sorry for the people that are suffering because of the wts.my story is a " happy ending " story, i married a jw almost 30 years ago and i am here to tell that we are still very happy.
she is very liberal and our 3 kids are " normal ".

ROBERTO- Welcome to the board. My deepest condolences on the loss of your father-in-law. The WT Society and Jehovah's Witnesses are a criminal organization in that thousands of JW's have died worldwide due to the " no blood transfusion " policies. And yet- WT leaders will get away scot free without paying for their crimes of murder from such policies. WT leaders should be brought up on crimes against mankind for not only their blood transfusion policies - but also their faulty child abuse policies.
I'm glad you are here with us and very happy to learn that your wife and children are a family that's still intact and thriving positively. Good for you my friend. Others aren't so lucky. Count yourself fortunate ! Look forward to hearing more from you. Take care, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

In googling this death- it's stating that Emerson died of a self inflicted gunshot ! Looks like a suicide. So terribly sad. I'm interested to know what the back story is on this. This sucks horribly -

Oh my god ! Keith Emerson dead also ? WTF is happening to all of our rock legends ? Who the hell is next on the list ? Bowie, Glenn Frey, Keith Emerson , then who ?
I really enjoyed listening to Emerson, Lake, and Palmer as a teenager. I still have several of their CD's. Kind of a harder edge Moody Blues sound mixing classical, blues, and rock sounds together. They termed it " progressive " rock I believe at the time in the 1970's. I think the album " Works Volume 1 " was my favorite . Emerson was one hell of a keyboardist. One of the best in rock music - if not THE best . What a sad day. The music world has definitely lost an original talent for sure. RIP Keith you brightened my teenage years with your groups music
