Yeah, it's like WT Society legal team and leaders can't go quietly into the night and pay Conti the 1 or 2 million they owe her. What bastards. They just cannot accept defeat or being made to even appear as if they were negligent or in the wrong. It's a narcissistic and arrogant view of " we don't recognize the world's view or Caesar's courts judgments towards us " - so they are out to prove still that WT leaders are above the laws of the land. Truly disgusting. Whatever happened to Romans 13: 1,2 where God put the superior authorities in place to carry out justice ? And anybody fighting the superior authorities is found to be fighting against " God " himself ? Guess WT leaders forgot about THAT scripture. BERRYGERRY- Wow, great you tube ! Thanks for posting it ! Eddie Van Halen is one of the great guitarists in rock history. The guy is brilliant. The Truth vs Theories

i had a thought today, would so many people sign the witness version of the billion year contract if instead of calling everything (even the religion) "the truth", they were more like science and called it "theories".

it's funny because "the truth" changes all the time, where as really the truth does not.

in science you say something is a theory it can change and become more accurate (new light), .

FREEMINDFADE- Good thread topic my friend. The problem that we face when discussing the " truth " versus the " theory " equation regarding religion is that when our society we live in throws into the mix RELIGION - people get very insecure and look at religion as a " sacred cow " of sorts where they want answers to all their life's situations and problems. AND they want an answer as to the " meaning " of life- the general public , and people like JW's included who aren't ready to accept the " theory " within their belief systems because they feel that EVERYTHING has to have an explanation in life. They cannot accept that there are certain things in life that we really just do NOT know about. Like if there is even a God, or what happens when we die ? People get freaked out not knowing those answers- so they force their version of what they consider " truth " down their religious members throats so they can THINK they know all the answers. LOL.

So I don't believe the WT leaders or even JW members would ever admit that a " theory " is possible - because they live and base their insecure lives on what they claim is definitive " truth ". But actually it's bullshit. So like you say not as many would sign on the dotted line as members if the WT started selling " theories ". It's the WT Society's way of keeping control and power over jW's saying that tHEY the GB have all the answers. " Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. MANINTHEMIDDLE- I agree with what you are saying regarding the test stating that " creative, open minded people are not skeptical " and are more readily sucked into a cult . I disagreed with that claim as well. I think creative open minded people are VERY skeptical about things. That's why they are creative, open minded people ! LOL. That is the one question on the test that I missed or they say that I missed. LOL. But I disagree with their views of creative people.

I think many times that rigid, opinionated, or non-creative people can be sucked into a cult much more because once they make a decision on something- there is no bending in their viewpoints, they aren't open minded enough to adapt and change their views. Just my little 2 cents on the subject, for what it's worth

3RDGEN- Thanks for your kind words. My wife and I consider you and your husband dear friends as well. Indeed this site has been a really soft landing place for many people who exited out of the JW organization either by their own choice - or not. A new life is definitely possible , a better life re-gaining the freedom of mind we were born with - before the WT Society stole it from us no matter what age we were when it was stolen- we can re-gain control of our brains neurotransmitters for sure. Just gotta do our homework and re-educate ourselves about life and what really matters. About what is real and what is unreal

FINKELSTEIN- Thanks for posting this, very interesting. I scored a 20 out of 21. This test is chalk full of good information to reveal how dangerous brainwashing and mind control actually is to people. It's very helpful for any ex-JW's or anybody leaving other high control or mind control religious, political, or marketing cults. Many times the danger of mind control is not really widely understood or known in our society. People think in terms of David Koresh or Jim Jones - they don't think about the more subtle brain manipulations of the WT Society actually CHANGING the neurotransmitters in JW's minds which turn them into obedient robots. Very helpful, thanks

Definitely this site helps awaken JW's who are sitting on the fence, people who are perhaps having doubts themselves within. Even if a JW hasn't VERBALLY spoken out loud to other fellow JW's and they keep their doubts to themselves- Simon's board here is a great release or an outlet or a conduit for those JW's still having silent doubts - too fearful of sharing those doubts with jW family and friends.

Thus we see as another poster mentioned people coming on introducing themselves as " long time lurker, first time poster ", so we realize a lot of good information has already been entering the neurotransmitters in their minds from this board to counteract the JW drivel they get being spewed from kingdom hall platforms.

It's up to us to keep the ball of access to helpful information to keep rolling for these people. Kind of like the movie " Pay it Forward " with Kevin Spacey and Helen Hunt about 10 years ago. Start a good deed like the boy did in the movie helping others- then the next person does something good for the next person, and so on. Before too long you have all of these ex-JW's caring for one another and showing a hell of a lot more authentic love to exiting JW's than they ever received inside the cult. It's an amazing transformation and an opportunity for many of us to help people in ways that we never ever did as JW's. Just my 2 cents

WATCHTOWER-FREE- Thanks for posting this article. Really great, informative article. All people need to be aware of the dangerous tactics of the criminal organization known as Jehovah's Witnesses backed by the WT Society. The minimizing of criminal felonious behavior such as child abuse only encourages and fosters more abusers to join the JW organization because they know they can get away with molesting more children and abusing more women - because elders are trained by the WT Society to minimize the dangers of such behavior.

The brave young lady who now has over half a million views of her exposing video about criminal WT Society conduct is a champion for human rights and an advocate for freedom of mind to make people aware of how the WT Society enslaves and controls it's JW members. It's a good thing that this is being talked about more and more out loud in the media and on the Internet bringing this to the forefront. It needs to keep happening. Good job on your part WT-FREE for continuing to do so. We all play a part in exposing this evil organization

well, it's been a long while since i last visited here.

i've been doing this and that...you know....lugubrious life and all.. i am interested in collating views from all types of people about jws, albeit non jws, ex jws....anyone associated with jws who wants to share their viewpoint.

later on i'd like to self publish these collected interviews but cannot offer any money as the project is more about giving people an opportunity to speak, help, whatever, rather than make a best seller.

Were/are you a JW ? I was a JW - past tense. Now an EX-JW.

How were/are you associated with JWs : Born in.

How long were you a JW ? : 44 years from birth until age 44 .

What drew you to the JW's ? : My JW parents- I had no choice they joined 8 years before I was born. As a teenager I truly was deceived and believed in a " Paradise " and " living forever " - thought it sounded great - until I found out it was a lie.

What do/did you enjoy about being a JW ? : Nothing whatsoever.

What is your best/fondest memory ? : Going to visit my JW mother's NON-JW parents ( my non-JW grandparents ) at their summer mountain cabin up at a remote lake in the mountains for a two week vacation each summer when I was aged 7 to 10 years old. THOSE are some of the happiest memories I have. Fishing with my grandpa, BBQing salmon on their deck at the cabin, the smell of the mountains and mountain air, the trees - those are my happiest memories.

What is your funniest memory ? : Haven't had a lot of " funny " memories as a JW. Mostly frustrating and sad memories. My funniest memories have been AFTER I exited the JW organization. Just having fun with my son, his girlfriend, and my wife. Lots of fun times playing music, singing, hiking in the mountains - some really fun and funny times.

If alive in 1975 as a JW , do you remember it ? What are your memories as a JW ? I remember as a teenager in 1975 Circuit Overseers and speakers from the platform getting everybody whipped up into an emotional frenzy claiming that the District and Circuit assemblies would probably be our last in " Satan's wicked system " and that starting in 1976 we'd very well be having our first assemblies in the " Paradise earth ". Those exact words were used over the platforms at Jehovah's Witness congregations and Kingdom Halls. I got whipped up into the frenzy as well as a young teenager spending 102 hours a month out in service knocking on doors trying to allegedly " save people's lives " - but it was all for nought. It was a lie, Armageddon never happened. Me and millions of other people wasted our lives on a pipedream , ordered by WT Governing body members to do so who knew nothing themselves, they just PRETENDED to know something we did not. So most of my JW memories are of being " used " or more accurately " used up " by the WT organization and lots of wasted years.

Can you think of anything positive or good about the Watchtower organization ? : No.

Do you believe the JW's have " the truth " ? : No, not at all.

Would you recommend being a JW and why do you answer thus ? : No, I do NOT recommend that anybody becomes a JW at all. Run for your life from this high control organization. You will lose your freedom of mind to a mind control cult that will suck all the emotional, mental, and physical energy you have left in your body. It will suck away the time you have in your life to do the bidding of WT leaders so they can sustain their Bilion $$$$ organization for their own financial betterment. Meanwhile- your financial betterment becomes non-existent as you donate time, money, effort into a huge organization that really doesn't care about your welfare. YOU as a person- really do NOT matter. What matters to WT leaders is the advancement of WT organizational interests - not individual interests. So if you cherish your freedom of mind do NOT join this organization.

Please tell us what you want us to know about being a JW : As a JW you will NOT be told the total truth about what's going on in a criminal way within the WT organization. Criminal child abuse is being covered up. People have been DFed for telling the truth about existing pedophiles among Jehovah's Witnesses. According to court documrents there are 23,000 known JW pedophiles right now in the WT Society database in their own computers that they know about. WT Society REFUSED to hand over this information at the order of the courts costing them 13.5 million $$$$ due to the standing in contempt of court. ( Bet you weren't told this at your local Service meeting announcements ) People have died due to following the WT Society leaders instructions about not receiving blood transfusions. WT Society continues to request money and financial support from poorer JW's so as to finance the " worldwide witnessing work " - which when translated is really financing the " WT Society property and real estate land grab work ".

So that's it. WT Society is a real estate marketing company disguised as a religion intent on furthering it's Billion $$$ empire at the expense of the widow's mite, the poorer JW's, and entrap the minds and freedoms that people once had before they join this mind control cult. WT Society is a criminal organization with criminal intent all done with a smile on the face of Stephen Lett on JW.org T.V. Run people , run away from this ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper
