WHAT IS YOUR PERSONAL OPINION OF...?

Terry, you didn't elaborate as to personal opinion of....what? The artistic element, the content, the entertainment aspect, or whether it is truth or not?
I just finished watching this for the second time. The first time you watch this video, you are struck speechless by the WOW factor. The beginning moves fast and heavy and literally throws snippets of horror at you using babies, children, and weeping women to set the emotional stage for what is to come.
There's the "time lapse" animated evolutionary stages, then a quick flash to a Bible and an American Flag, then more horror and destruction and carnage and fear and sadness going from World Trade Center scenes to Iraqi war scenes. Your heart feels heavy in your chest with anguish just seeing these pictures. You get a gutteral feeling like:" What is wrong with humankind! How can we do this to each other!" The emotional stage is set and you are ready to accept the explanation the film then gives: We have been lied to by all institutions and religion is at the bottom of the dirt. We have been misled away from true and divine presence...a spiritual fraud has been perpetrated on the masses! Our most basic institutions involving religion, government, education, and banking are being controlled by Masters of Deceit.
The first time I watched the video, it appeared that its "conspiracy is all around us" approach was complete truth. I was blown away by how obvious it all seems now. Yes, the pieces fit! But if you watch it again, you realize much of it is propaganda mixed with historical and current events. They use Watchtoweresque words like "believed to be" and fail to provide proof to much of their accusations.
I have to say, however, that it MAKES you think. You CANNOT walk away from this video certain about ANYTHING! Part II is titled "All the World's a Stage" and that makes you realize there are players and observers.
I am still digesting some of the material presented and am not quite sure yet how much can be labeled real truth. Propaganda is a powerful tool and when presented with lots of bells and whistles, it can SOUND like Truth. Just look at the WTB&TS and the stuff they got us to believe!

Purplesofa....heartfelt condolences, dear. I've seen your beautiful artwork. Maybe an evening of intense drawing can help relieve some of your sadness and something beautiful can be born from your pain. journey-on

Gluttony and Drunkenness
by journey-on ini knew several that got df'd for drunkenness but never anyone for gluttony.
as far as i can remember, in the bible there weren't categories or various levels of sin; and both these are mentioned as sinful.
last i looked, there were an awful lot of very obese witnesses in the congs.

Sorry, Little Drummer Boy. I HAVE read his posts very carefully, as a matter of fact, and I just don't see it the same way you do. It's strange how people have such different perspectives, isn't it? I found them enlightening, informative, and helpful.

It Takes More Strength To Be A Non-Conformist

as a jehovahs witness, there was a time.
in which if a man had a mustache or did not wear a white shirt while present-.

I get what you're saying Wanderer. You have to remember, though, non-conformists and eccentrics scare the h*ll out of some people. And some still have the JW borg-like mentality although they won't admit it and are unable to see it. Someone recently counseled me: This place isn't the Kingdom Hall. So, I'll use that wise counsel and say: "If you are a bit odd in your approach, SO WHAT! You're free to present yourself the way you choose till a moderator draws the line. Short Answer: Yes it does.

Damaging property and driveways in Field Service. The good old days.
by Open mind injust got done reading b_deserter's partial life story and it sent me drifting down memory lane.
this is a long, rambly story, so if you're not in the mood, i'd recommend clicking on another thread.. did you happen to grow up in "god's country?
" you know, a rural or semi-rural part of the country that is far superior morally to the "sin den" i moved to, california?
