holy spirit conversations stoppers.... if someone asks why certain decisions are made in the congregation, perhaps you could say.... "jehovah's holy spirit is "guding and directing" the body of elders.".

Why you still go on Field Service? Why Elders posts on JWD?

this morning, a poster asked me why i still go on field service:.

just wondering if your conscience bothers you that you are continuing to "spread the jw gospel"?

do you have plans to stop fs soon?

To tell you the truth: Yes. My conscience bothers me most of the time. I still do it because I have all my family inside the Borg, and I have to figure how to help them out. If I get disfellowshipped, I will lose my communication channel with them

I think this is the right way to go if you have family on the inside. If I could back and do it all over again, I would stay inside as a double-agent and try to get my wife to think. Now that I have faded, it is impossible to ask questions that make her think because the Apostarader kicks in.

1- were you raised a witness or not?.

2-if you were, was your family very "theocratic" or not so much?.

The harder you beleived the crap the more skeptical you will be once you realized you were duped. At least that's the way it is with me.

1. Raised in the truth

2. very theocratic family

3. Agnostic (if there is a God he does not get involved in human affairs, he is too busy managing the Universe)

why is it better to "fade"?

i've been reading various posts and i notice that fading is often advised by others who have done so or wish they had done so.

why is this better than being df'd?

i'm assuming it's because your family will not shun you if you are merely da'd ?

I was just thinking about this topic. Can you imagine the impact on the Org if all the faders sent in a DA letter? How many "so and so is no longer a Jehovah's Witness" announcements would be read? And how would so many official drop outs influence those who are still in who have serious doubts or who know it is not the truth but stay active for family's sake?

i like to read the km to see what the wtbts is saying, and then to think about what they really mean.. information appears in the km when problem need to be addressed in the organization.

Sharing the 'real' truth by commenting at meetings

having recently gotten my commenting 'privleges' back i try to sow seeds of truth with them.. here are two tidbits i have shared:.

1----- the bible highlights-------when the older men judged legal cases, they did it at the city gates where the proceedings could be observed.. 2-----wt study yesterday-----the world was judged wicked and noah was judged righteous---he was a 'preacher of righteousness' before he started on the ark.

there is no indication that god ever intended for anyone else other than noah and his family to get on the ark.
