Sorry Changeling, but I strongly object to your suggestion.

I think it must be agony for those who are still trapped in there, with family obligations etc.

For a few of us; we were also trapped with family obligations for a number of years, finally resulting in us making a minal exit and lsoing our families anyway; depsite our best efforts.

How dare you compare me to some kind of manipulating freeloarder on this site to make any other fading dubs life even harder.

I can only tell what I went trhough and offer advise, adn even then thats all it iever is advise.

Much love to my fellow faders/ exdubs/ HUMAN BEINGS IN CRISIS DUE TO THIS AWFULL RELIGION.

the hounding by the borg is in full throttle now.

i have been experiencing the lull before the storm but it seems to be over and the hurricane is looming overhead.

I finally spoke to my parents. Best thing I did.

several month ago i finally got up the courage to speak to my parents about the reasons i left the borg.

up until then things were brewing up inside me to the point where i thought i would explode in rage.. even though they were aware of the basic reasons they still had no idea about how angry i was.. friday afternoon i started by asking my mother that i would like to arrange a meeting between the 2 of them and my wife and i to discuss the 't'.

i didn't want to get into detail at this stage because it would be unfair on just her without my elder dad being there.

TC; it must feel so good to have had the opportunity to put your point accross,, I am full of admiration for your parents, being able to sit and listen to what you had to say; even though all their dub teaching told them not to listen.

But more that thia I'm so proud that you were able to keep control of the situation, even though you state your self that these things have been making your blood boil!!!

My Councellor; Made a breakthrough. Am so happy

I was reading a thread a week or so ago, in this site and a book called Toxic parents was recomended. Well I bought that book, and started to read.

My initial reason for reading was to help bury the ghosts of my past, however I was struck by the implications that I could also be 'toxic' to my own children. For that reason I am now reading this book in two minds. Confirming the toxic relationships that I had with my parents, but also that I HAVE to break this toxic cycle and NOT pass these things onto my own, very precious children.

I'm at peace. The past is the past. Yes its painfull, but the future is what I have.

What DOES DAing say to a JW?

besty and i are of the opinion that if more people da'd and said they didn't believe in the whole thing, it would send a serious message to jws.

you wouldn't need to actually criticize the organisation, avoiding the 'apostate' label.

we know that for many, fading is the only option right now, because of the pain involved in losing friends and family but, surely, if enough people went down this route, then more would have the courage to do the same?

I re-call a conversation with my mother where she was in tears, appealing to me to let them disfellowshiip me rather than me Disasoctiate.

I can recall in my 35+ years as a dub, only 3 or 4 actually DA'ing themselves.

Ultimatley the organisation wants to remain in controll, and 'be seen' to be in controll.

Having DA'd at the start of this year I consiously took the desicion to exit.

I'd walked the plank.

There was NO way the peodphile protecting elder body were going to give me a push at the end of it.

I jumped. To freedom!!!!!!!!

Pioneer Sister tells my Wife If your Raped just pray to Jehovah for help??

while being new in the truth my wife dicussed the rape issue with her pioneer {my mums annionted} teacher.

her response was to say if your raped you need to pray to jehovah for help and just yell for him to stop so it's not considered fornication.

i was shocked at this so i found her an awake article about a sister who was assulted by a tradesmen in her home.

the grand boasting session is supposed to be the biggie.

there is so much hype about the motels that are on the list, which will come out right around jan 1. you are supposed to call ahead, and usually people get busy signals and full motels.
