Could you elaborate on the paradise being a state of mind comment? I find that interesting, what makes you believe that?

Hi Godlovesme, thanks for stopping by. Interesting stuff about all the misery at Bethel - those people are just robots and pawns in a game they know nothing about. Long hours with little pay paves the way for workforce dismay.

i find the road and poured concrete in the middle of nowhere interesting.
i also notice that debunking.

I fail to see why I should not believe in something just because it is posted on a website which speaks of 'conspiracy theories'. I agree that I have read a lot of rubbish on Rense but I like to keep an open mind about things. You would never believe anything again if you applied this rule, you would just bin every newspaper, turn off every media outlet and go to bed with your fingers in your ears refusing to believe anything.
I am not denying Rense has some off the wall theories, but just like anything else, I will take the information, check it out and take it or throw it away - and that's the beauty of America, freedom of speech.

"I think that is why the bible said somewhere, not to go to bed angry, because what if we or they don't have tomorrow to say, "I love you, or I'm sorry."
This is why I cannot allow a person out of my sight without reconciling with them beforehand and letting them know that I love them. I could not live with myself if my last words to a loved one would be full of anger.

The Power of the Question: what most are missing
by Vernon Williams ini want to make a statement, and, if there is any interest, develope it a bit.. in the interactions one has with a jw, no matter what level in the org.
or what the topic is, this needs to be remembered: .
whomever controls the question controls all.. the jws are trained to control the result of the conversation through argument manipulation.

I completely agree. When I first came out of the org and began to debate with my former 'brothers', I noticed that I knew exactly what they were going to say before they said it. This is because I used to be in their shoes. With that in mind, I could be in complete control of the debate, choosing wisely which questions to ask.
I always find that if you quote a contradictory JW article or statement to a JW, ask them to tell you what they think it is trying to say. This way, the Leopard cannot change it's spots by saying 'well, they do not actually mean that'.

Natural selection is a very interesting term to use concerning this and upon consideration I agree!

So sick to death of the whole 'find Maddie' campaign - now includes Pope
by needproof ini am sure most of you are now aware of the missing british girl madeleine mccann, who was abducted from portugal a few weeks ago.
the media is making a massive thing about this, and i am just wondering why.
they say 70,000 kids go missing each year in the uk alone - but this case seems to be unique in that it is so widely reported.

by frankiespeakin inwhat do you think about the the us withdrawing its signature from statute of the international criminal court.
did the bush do it to protect his own ass?
and how do you feel about the "patriot act" and the "miltary commisions act" as far as civil liberties and the us constitution are concerned?

You do know that Bush has signed executive orders which allows the president to vaccinate people against their will, should he see fit?
Jail you for life without charges, trial or a lawyer
The sale of vitamins will be illegal
The government can take over all modes of transport
The government can mobilize the population into work brigades under supervision
Bush can declare a state of emergency which is not defined, and congress cannot review the action for 6 months

By kids, I mean teens.
There has been in increase in this kind of stupid behavior around my area. It seems to me that we are breeding a generation of complete morons. I went to a neighbourhood meeting the other night where this issue was raised, and the local councilor kept coming out with all these silly theories, one being that we should waste a load of money in our budget in building a little play area for these fuckwits complete with new basketball nets and what not.
Why is it that, particularly in this country (UK), we reward foolishness? Perhaps it is the same where you live. I mean, what are the parents doing? Would it really be such a loss if one of these idiots were knocked down? I did a lot of silly things when I was that age and still do silly things, but what lunacy is behind the concept of running into the path of an oncoming car or train?
I sometimes wonder if the human race is beginning to go backwards. I think we should seriously consider getting repeat youth offenders and throwing them on the battle front in Iraq.
What do you think should be done about these stupid anti social kids?
