Weird Watchtower article, Russell's grave worship in the background
by needproof inso just about everybody here knows that russell had some sort of obsession with the pyramids, and his gravestone serves as that embarassing reminder to his false prophecy, shaped like a pyramid itself.
and this is why i found this image on a awake!
magazine of 2005 quite disturbing.

I think you two are correct on all counts. It just looked really strange to me, almost occultic, if that is the correct word. I mean why the hell would a young girl design a bloody pyramid?

So just about everybody here knows that Russell had some sort of obsession with the Pyramids, and his gravestone serves as that embarassing reminder to his false prophecy, shaped like a pyramid itself. And this is why I found this image on a AWAKE! magazine of 2005 quite disturbing. Entitled 'I wanted to learn more about my religion', it tells the story of a little girl who had constructed a pyramid herself and placed on it a load of info about our lovable cult.
Is this the WT telling us something about the way it still views Russell, maybe I am looking too much into it but we know how they make this kind of stuff up.

Would You Sign Up
by Outaservice ini've always thought about putting together a vacation package for just ex-jw's.
if say, one was put together to stay several days at a place like the acapulco princess hotel in mexico, or the rose hall hotel in jamaica with lunches, dinners and entertainment all included and swiming pools galore would you come?
maybe a package that includes airfare and everything for $1500 or so per person!.

Its all about the money for me, but personally I wouldn't. I go on holiday to escape my life not to lament on it.

Anyone like an invite to the memorial?
by Axeman injust visited my 80 year old mother who rarely goes witnessing.
noticed a pile of tracts for the memorial she has been given to distribute.
50 houses is a lot for an old lady you'd think jehovah's organization would cut her some slack.

Yes, but still, 6 sixes in one over is brilliant.
Hyped up England threw the game away again with the batting. I think it's time to drop Flintoff, many would scoff at that idea but another duck, come on. Ok, he once described himself as a 'bowler that does a bit of batting' but he isnt doing any batting at the minute, his form is woeful. I think John Lewis would do a better job, even at bowling - Flintoff needs to get his act together quickly and stop being picked on past glory.
It's time for Lewis and all the other good players who cant seem to break into the side to start downing 20 pints after the game with the rest of the lads to stand any chance of breaking into the England social mens club.

Disasterous start for England, but Jimmy Anderson has calmed it down with those early wickets. The way NZ are scoring they will pass our total by the 30th over unless someone gets some big wickets soon
