Ever notice how interested worldly friends were to hear you'd left...zzzzzz
by Gregor inthe first few years after i got my head out of my jw ass i assumed that worldly associates would be fascinated to hear of my escape....wrong.
most of them looked at me like "what the f--- are you talking about?"...

I now believe in KARMA
by Es infound out some interesting news last night from ex hubby.
when ex hubby and i were wanting to get married we had alot of trouble with the elders because my dad didnt like my ex, dad being an elder held a lot of weight on the decision for us to get the hall, even tho we had not done anything scriptually wrong.
anyway my best friend and ex hubby's cousin were our bestman and bridesmaid.. they got together after our wedding and things went down hill pretty fast, she hardly spoke to me i guess she was too busy with her new man, anyway the next thing we hear from the fam is that they were getting married and we were no longer allowed to be in there bridal party.

I hope karma is real...
If it is, the rest of my life will be filled with bliss to offset the crap of the first 17 years :P . -

The Male Biological Clock
by YoursChelbie inwhen i was on the borg certain sisters would rush into marriage because their "biological clock was ticking.
basically they wanted to have children and if they were already in their late twenties or early thirties marrying the first "brother" who asked seemed like the way to go.. i was wondering do men have a "biological clock?
specifically if you are a man with no children, will you ever reach a certain age that would cause you to worry that your "clock is ticking" to become a biological dad?

I dunno about you, but I'd at least want to have children fast enough to see my grandchildren get pretty old.
My grandparents have had the privledge of getting to know thier great grandchildren too. That seems like it'd be pretty great. -

My Story (in detail)
by KW13 inits sometimes hard for us ex-dubs to share our stories and even harder for those who can't leave the organization and need to vent.
i would encourage all those with a story to tell to do so, i'd really enjoy reading it as i do already read the stories you all shared.. i grew up without my dad and almost without my mum since she was always out drinking or doing something else.
we've been homeless and without money, for years no one in the family had a telephone and my dad offered the sum total of 1.50 a week in child support before running away to american for a few years, abandoning his responsibilities (which he successfully evaded right up to me being too old to need or want his help).

Amazing....
You're a year older than I am, and I have no idea how you've been able to cope with all that. I'm not sure I could do it. You've done well it seems.
Good luck! -

When JW's and Christians teach that Adam and Eve's sin caused death. Wrong!
by booker-t inuntil my science studies at college taught me that animals have been dying way before adam and eve were created i just wonder how can jw's and christians continue to teach their members that adam and eve's sin caused death to enter into the world.
this is utterly "wrong".
and i was shocked to see in a recent "awake" magazine that the wt society actually acknowleges that animals were dying way before adam and eve came on the scene.

Wow, I never thought about it like that.
This is why JWs aren't allowed to go to college :P . -

Whatever the girl I like tells me to listen to :P.
But personally, I've been exploring classic rock. I saw a Pink Floyd CD at walmart that I totally want to get.
Has a prism on it, its called eclipse or dark side of the moon. I think one of those is the name of a song on the CD, not really sure.
That album is twice my age :P .
