i cannot begin to tell you how grateful i am to you!
you reassured me while i was one of the walking wounded.
you know that line from the movie "shadowlands", when the student says to c.s.
Welcome, Dear Thetis.
It gets better.
Love,
Baba.
our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
it is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
I think this needs a bump, today
i've realized a new employee is a jw, because he likes to leave jw literature on his desk and because he mentioned "congregation responsibilities".
i am debating whether to tell him of my jw past.. the main reason for considering this is because i had mentioned to another coworker "g" that i was raised as a jw, before the jw's arrival.
if the jw tries to witness to "g", "g" might reveal that fact.
If anything comes up, I would simply tell them that you have family who are Jehovah's Witnesses.

my story part 2: trouble at bethel.

The Kingdom Ministry report on these events:
"Branch Letter", Our Kingdom Ministry, August 1980, "We are saddened to report at this time that five members of the Bethel family, and a few others in the New York city area have recently been disfellowshiped. There has been some apostasy against the organization and the promoting of sectarian divisions in some of the congregations of God’s people. (Titus 3:9-11) Living as we are in times difficult to deal with, it should not be surprising that such things occur. The first-century congregation also experienced deviations as we well know from our reading of the Holy Scriptures.—1 Tim. 1:20; 4:1; 2 Tim. 2:17, 18; 1 Cor. 15:12, 13; Acts 20:29, 30."

the death of ray franz hit me harder than i would have thought.. i had to reflect for awhile....alone......and quietly.. .
after all, fine people die every day and some of them are indispensable, yet, we go on....don't we?.
but, ray franz was something that can only be described in the phrase sui generis (one of a kind).. my task was to ask myself what it was that made ray so singular, potent and admirable without a trace of scandal or ill will attached to his memory.. .
Bravo.

Wow!
Okay, this:
“Where in the hell is McCook, Nebraska?”
absolutely cracked me up, but the rest of it is just chilling and makes me sad. Wow. The Watchtower witch hunt.
Thank you.
one idea for a memorial to ray franz:.
donate his two books to the local library.. crisis of conscience.
in search of christian freedom.
Great idea, Cabasilas. I like your included note idea, also.
And if the books go "missing"... we can donate a couple more to replace them.
ok, you asked for it and here it is.
i'm going to try and embed the video but who knows?
just look under truthbookblues and it will be the video on the home page.. .
Wow! I don't know what else to say... oh, and thanks for getting this thing up there, Wasa.
