it's evident that certain people just don't like me, and it's evident that certain people, er, despise me.. kewl!.

in my life i've noticed that the people who everyone likes, never have any close friends, because they never share themselves, and they never dispute idiocy.

everyone "likes" them, but those people have no one who "cares" about them.

today my son anthony michael turned 18!!!!

it is a very happy but bittersweet day.

he thought we had forgotten him, but i had arranged with his swimteam coach to bring the boys over on the pretext of them going out for dinner after practice.

Time travel- if you could...would you?

i was recently looking at a picture that showed my city almost a hundred years ago.

i started trying to imagine the scene, but in color, and what it would have been like.. they say if time travel was possible, you must be careful, for what you do could alter the future.. though i know it is not possible, i think it would be fantastic to do so.. so, would you do it if you could?

what time era would you go to?.

I think the coolest place & time for me would be actually during the biblical times. The Mediteranean (sp?) during those times absolutely facinates me...

I think even going back to the 1700's and 1800's in North America would be interesting as well.

does it seem strange to anyone else that a "pacisfist" organisation should use a photo sourced from the us navy as the cover of one of their books?

has anyone obtained these books?

Churchaphobia Returns

two weeks ago my wife informed me that the local unitaran universalists wanted me to speak at their church service which is only two blocks from our house.

she failed to tell me they had originally asked her and she passed the buck, but alas, wiley as she is i agreed to it then heard the "rest of the story".

so last sunday i decided i would case the joint by attending their sunday service which was a great talk about the black tenor, paul roberson.

I would love to be able to go to check out many different religions and churches, but to be honest when the time comes for me to go to church with my friend, I am calling her ahead of time to cancel...I'm just not ready...and I don't know if I ever will be.

Why do you think......

so many people who come out of the borg are so depressed and angry and freaked out?????

i have been out for 7 years now and i am happier than i have ever been in my life and was from the very first moment i left!

the only reason i even go into ex-jw groups is i like to make fun of them and other exs are the only ones who understand what i am talking about when i make a funny comment??

I think some people freak out because they are mad at the fact that they have wasted so much time on this ridiculous book publishing company. Personally I do feel this way sometimes. Looking back at all the wasted time, yes it pisses me off, but you do have to move on in your life. I like to think that things can only get better, and since I left they have.
