I'm a mere child of 16 years :P .
A lucky child. Lucky enough to notice the lies before 50 years of 'loyal' service.
And you don't need arrows to find where my age is displayed.

What is your weirdest field service(study)experience?
by megsmomma ini was thinking about a bible study my mom's friend had when we were just getting in the borg.....it was with a woman who had several kids and lived in a real old run down house.
i was about 10 and the oldest kid among them, so i had to watch all the kids while they studied.
my lil brother was 3 and he had to go to the bathroom....well i took him in there and aparently they had no plumbing, so the toilet was full of sh*t and there were buckets of it in there too.....ewwwwwwww....my brother was very upset too and refused to go.

I don't really have anything wierd that happened, but I havn't been at it 'very' long.
But to defend myself, I was born into it, AND I like Star Trek :P .
But I'm not nerdy about it. I value it as an icon in television history. The plots are amazing and interesting. The acting is quite good for it's time. And the special effects were also great. I'm one of the few 'youngins' that can appreciate the old school stuff.
But I'd never put on spock ears, a blue shirt, and go around with my hands in the Vulcan salute.
I might attend a convention though ^^ .
Only for the video games, of course! -

by gordon d ini know that i'm new here...and maybe this topic has already been covered.

Thank you gary :P .
Also, minors don't have the same rights as adults. We are slaves to our parents (mental adulthood or not) until 18. The only rights we have are to protect against mental, emotional, physical abuse or malnutrition. -

This proves it then.
Early humans DID mate with neaderthals... -

Blood is Thicker than Water
by Clam in"blood is thicker than water.
" well technically speaking it is of course, but how do you feel about this saying?
it implies that those people you have a biological link with are somehow "extra special".

I always thought that meant that your family (blood) would hold you in higher regard (thicker) than life (water).
So when you say "blood thicker than water", I always thought it meant that your family should love you more than life itself.
But I'm a crazy american teenager, what do I know? -

Have you ever had an encounter with a UFO?
by free2beme inwhen i was about 16 years old, a group of us friends would go hiking a lot on the weekend.
we would rough it to some degree, just a sleeping back and sleeping under the stars.
one night, while hiking into a lake in northern california, we all were sleeping in a clearing just out of legal distance from a small mountain lake we liked to fish in.

Occam's Razor?
Any resource an alien would need is in far more abundance on Jupiter. Visiting earth would be mearly for study.
And waiting for us to suddenly stop being stupid, which won't happy anytime soon. -

The Loved Up Thread [Fluff]
by diamondblue1974 init might have escaped your notice but sirona and i are totally in love and seem to have a mutual appreciation society thing going on; however this has not taken place without causing some online problems as some of you might be aware.. both dawn (sirona) and i are conscious that we have hijacked a number of threads given our perpetual state of being loved up.
given the untold frustration we might have caused to some posters we have decided to launch our very own jwd loved up thread.. this hopefully should allow threads to go on being productive without the frustration of people (us) whispering online sweet nothings and flirting and we therefore invite you all to use this thread if you are loved up, have similar mutual appreciation societies or simply wish to flirt with other online posters.
you can even use this thread to dedicate a post to someone who isnt online and who just lightens your life and makes you smile.. please join us and reassure us that we are not the only loved up people on jwd.. .

Hey, we can pretend I'm 18 for JUST ONE NIGHT!
And so ends my fruitless attempt at searching for a woman. -

I'm forced to.
My mother makes me do all that stuff, despite her knowing that I think it's a lie. And my family SUPPORTS her. But I also do as little as I can. I go out in service, because I have to. If I don't I lose everything that makes life barely tolerable. And there's nothing I can do with the government looking over my shoulder. If I run, they bring me back. And I'm too tough to plee "mental abuse", because it's just not enough to make me crazy (It's damn close, but the laws considering Minors are crap in USA) .
I have no mind of my own, no soul, and no freedom of religion. Basic rights have been stripped from me. Apparently, blood does NOT run thicker than water. And it doesn't run thicker than the CRAP that is discharged from the bowels of the WBTS. -

There have been reports of nuclear silo's losing power. And that would be a logical step.
But why would they land. Soil samples? Or, is it like ET, and they like plants :P ?
Crop circles are made by people. Most everyone that has one of those stories is wrong, crazy, or lying.
However, there ARE odd things that go on. And I belive your story (To the extent I can trust someone I don't know over the internet :P ) . Three people can't see the same halucination.
As for Military aircraft? You overestimate the US military. They are just as inept as the rest of the human race :P . They'd be using anything they discovered by now. Maybe... -

SAW III - A review of the movie
by Elsewhere inunfortunately i can only review the first 5 or 10 minutes of the show as a result of the fact that i got seriously nauseous twice in that time period resulting in my having to walk out.
simply put, that show is seriously f. i've never been a big fan of horror movies because the plot lines and acting have traditionally been of extraordinary poor quality.
the main characters always make some seriously stupid decision and end up being killed by... whatever.

The entire concept of this movie as "entertainment" disgusts me.
Sure, I indulge fantasies of torturing people in terrible and painful ways.
No wait, I DON'T.
It's a sick thing to actually WANT to see. Aren't we all supposed to love each other or something?
I mean, if you absolutely MUST go to war, at least a person gets blown up, or shot, and they die instantly or quickly (It's getting rarer that a person dies painfully, as the science of killing ourselves becomes more precise).
I would never want to see this movie. And not because I'm afraid, but because I don't gather any happiness from watching people being force to mutilate themselves, fake or not.
