There might be 7 of us dinning. The tip could run >$100. If like 2 or 3 of us go to Morton's The tab would run >$300 so a corisponding tip would be 60+. At Sonic tip is the excess change be it 25 cents or 99 cents.

Once while crossing the Canadian boarder into Montana they searched our vehicle and they found some "basil" in the back of my truck rolled up in a sleeping bag. They handed us over to the Montana police. This Montana policeman who took custody of us appeared as if he were out of a John Wayne western. So when he got us back to his station he started lecturing us, telling us how stupid we were for using "basil". So as this one way conversation drug on he says; You boys deserve to have your asses kicked Don't ya?
Not knowing what to say. We said; Yes sir. At that point he said; Ya see that pole on the wall over there you all go on over thar and grab it.
He then proceeded to kick our asses with his Montana cowboy boots.
Then he told us we were free to proceed on our journey but without our "basil".

Champagne Bottle Sizes. What's the Theme?
by Clam inchampagne bottles come in a variety of sizes and are given specific names.
can anyone from the jwd brain trust suggest what the naming theme is?
nabuchadnezzar (20 bottles) nebuchadnezzar, originally nabu-kudurri-usur meaning "nabu protect the boundary," became king of the chaldean empire in 604 bc.

The mega ships from Royal Carribean have a Nebuchadnezzar displayed as one enters the champaign bar. Was at a party once where one these large bottles was being poured. I did not partake. But as to other sacrement some fine herb was also offered I did partake but I did not inhale!

JW's, ordainment, mandatory reporting, and culpability....
by avishai induring the vietnam war, the jw's were insistent on stating that pioneers were "clergy" and i don't think they've ever revised that.
now, many states have included "clergy" as mandatory reporters in cases of child abuse, so in the case of jw's, culpability for non-reporting would apply to pioneers (and possibly publishers) as well as elders.
interesting, no?.

According to the American Heritage Dictionary; clergy The body of people ordained for religious service.
So according to this definition all ordained ministers are clergy.
How about it?

My favorite was It Happened On Mulberry Street. I think it was written in iambic pentameter.

Here's a dollar for gas.....what a joke...
by SnakesInTheTower ini heard the other day on the radio that gas (in the us) was up 81 cents/gal.
from this time last year.
i am sure the 2 at the beginning of the price of gas on the sign is about to be as extinct as the dodo bird.

Also my answer to most driving situations was Accelerate Hard. The mopar 440 provided the road preformance that I felt was needed to deliver the message of hope. More than once folks needed a wipe upon exiting the vehicle.

Back in the mid to late 70s I drove jeep wagoneer 4 door 4wd more than once I took to farmers feilds or
the the off road during selling. When I would hear complaints I would reply It's ok it's got 4wd once while
fording a stream, water started entering the floor boards at the bottom of the door. These were great
times. Somewhere during this time period I also drove a mopar 440. Was counciled once or twice
because it seemed that 90 mph was the appropiat speed in my mind.
