Hey Jes,
I am not surprised by their response at all. The jw's are emotionless and robotic most of the time. They live in a perpetual state of denial because they live in fear and don't even realize it.
I may be wrong, but it seems that Bill thinks that the response showed a hint of admission on the part of the wt. Then again, maybe Billy boy was being sarcastic? Hard to tell the tone of a person in cyberland sometimes... dj

Strange comment after shooting
by detective ini was listening to the news this morning and they were reporting on a double shooting that had just happened at a pharmacy.
details about the shooting weren't available as it had just happened but the reporter detailed what he was witnessing as the emts removed two badly wounded victims from the pharmacy.. about ten minutes later he came back on the radio and gave an update, including comments from a pharmacy employee who was due in at nine am (the shooting must have taken place around 8:30 or so).. .
reporter: did you find what happened here surprising?.

i was moved by the sad news about ima and his poor son's kindness to follow his dad's last wishes.
(see thread entitled, "please read") anyway, it struck me as odd last night that i actually shed tears over this man.

Hello Blues! Nice to meet you I can't seem to find the thread you mentioned. I did a search with no luck. I guess I was really saddened by the news about IMA because my father is very ill and it struck me personally. I've dealt with the death of a loved one before and it is hard for me to reconcile that my dad is still a dub. I can only pray that God has mercy on him and I do believe that. It still bugs me though. dj

Hi, your name suits you..lol. I agree with you that her response was unusual, even if she is a dub. Whether she's a dub or not though, I'm still surprised that she was only showing concern for herself by stating that she was glad she wasn't there. I am glad that you found something to cheer you! I always thought that Madeira was in Spain. I didn't do well in geography class..lol...Anyway, those pic's are great. I'm afraid that I could never handle the difficult one. Way too high for me! Have you been on one that high? Oh yea, I forgot to tell you that Oct. 28 is my birthday! I never heard of a Levada before. Very interesting. What's the climate like there? I suppose if it's hot then walking thru the waterfalls would be refreshing, on the other hand it it's chilly there.....Yuk. Keep that foot up and the ice on! dj

she can still think clearly and converse.
