Have all you bird watchers considered joining http://www.birds.cornell.edu/pfw/ (The Cornell Lab of Ornithology) I did this past year. You watch 2 consecutive days a week for as long as you want. 15 minutes or all day, and report your findings. They keep track of your counts, species, and rare birds. It was really fun. The last count ended April 9th but starts up again in the fall.
I highly recommend it, To join its about 17.00 for the year....so worth it! You get access to all kinds of studies, help with bird ID's, see whats happening in your state and across the U.S. and Canada, etc. You get a great calendar and your information is used by Cornell for many different studies.
Moshe, your sighting of Monk Parakeets would be especially prized.
Everyone, please join if you can.
