So, as the title asks, have you ever won anything?

slow down her anger?.
i guess you can't go with the "he/she" all-inclusive terminology in the scriptures, but i've often thought of the verse that states that a man's insight slows down his anger.. how do you ladies keep your cool when confronted with the bad behavior or speech of others [male, female, children, cats, dogs ...].. i'm really serious ... i think..... coco.
A woman's "insight" is usually her memory....and don't think for a minute it slows down her anger, especially if history is repeating it self!

rep. john dingell (d-mi), the dean of the house of representatives for being the longest serving member of the body (he was first elected in 1955, succeeding his father, rep. john dingell, sr.), made an amazing admission during a live telephone interview with detroit wjr news/talk 760 radio talk show host paul w. smith on smith's show monday morning, march 22, 2010. the night before, dingell had been a featured speaker at the democrat congressional leadership victory press conference after obamacare passed the house.. in response to a question posed by smith, dingell said:.
quote:let me remind you this [americans allegedly dying because of lack of universal health care] has been going on for years.
we are bringing it to a halt.
So when people are laid off, the law still requires you to obtain health insurance, how will you pay for it if you have no money coming in to pay for it? You're an instant criminal right then and there.

This argument is getting damn old. Especially from someone who has a family member totally covered by the government. Stop the whining, get the extra coverage you need for yourself, and stop perpetuating a lie.
Those who will be unable to afford coverage will be exempt., and many will receive help.
You are loosing credibility with the above post.

Here is more:
The first Italian sausage, steaks, and hamburgers on the grill . The smell and sound of first cut grass.
Northerners also tend to take better care of their yards and homes than do southerners.
Since I've been in Florida I am shocked at how people let their yards and homes go "to the dogs" That never happened in your average neighborhood in Chitown.

As a Chicago native VIII captured a lot.
Here are few other things:
The first warm day in spring, our short range gardens that include tulips, poppies, and beautiful exotic irises. Pussy willows and oh the joy of sweet Lilacs.
We love the first bar-b-que, the first day you can wear shorts, drag out the deck furniture, and open all the windows to air out the house from winter.
We love our beautiful (ugly) tomatoes. Fireflies, and summer "fests" down at Lake shore Drive.
The sweet soft grass that only grows in the North, not the stuff, I still consider crab grass in Florida. It's grass you can roll in, take a nap on, and never have one insect bite your butt.
Long summer nights, that are so precious.
(Just a few of this Northerner's favorite things)

I'm not a rider but my brothers were/are. The brother that's still alive rode a Harley 1949 pan head and is now riding a 1980 Shovel Head. (What a bike!)
His lively hood is repair and custom work on Motorcycles.

Sausage gravy and homemade biscuits with breakfast! I'm from the north, but love that stuff. Make it every Sunday morning!
