  The Bribe of Heaven and The Threat of Hell.

  which is it that cause you to believe that either teaching from the bible is truly the truth.

  is the desire to want to go to heaven the reason you believe what you believe, or is it the fear and threat of hell that makes you walk the line so to speak.. i don't believe that god needs to or has ever bribed or threathened anyone with 'do this or else.

  ' i believe what is written about god in the bible are the words of men.

  The carrot! "Don't we all desire a better world where we can live in peace and have everlasting life on earth"? That is our desire and what we pray for to God and the reason his son came down from heaven in the form of a man. Jesus gave his life that we may live.

  Why is it taking so long? God cannot blame us who want peace and life for having doubts as it has been 2000 years since the promise...and what do we have? I CAN see your point. The concept of a burning in hell for the wicked (those who had a bad upbringing) is totally UNFAIR and then the GOOD ones aren't good enough to go to heaven. We all sin. Yes, I agree we really need for God to show his self to us. The words in the Bible is not enough.

  although, the complaints may be valid and sad.

  many posters here have vented about their wicked parents.. i think its time we parents have a post dedicated to saying something horrid about our kids.

  it maybe something you have wanted to say about them that was in the past or happening now.

  LOL...was a Joke vitty...I had my share when they were teens...they are all grown up now and they DO become better sons and daughters as they get older. Your son is a teen I gather? Sounds like it. Yes, he will regret how he treated you as he ages.

  my status is "fading but still sort of in.

  " i don't believe any of it anymore.. i just had a long conversation with a very old friend of mine who is "weak," as in he doesn't preach, and he doesn't make many of the meetings.

  Are they Bethlites? First time I have seen JWs peddling their wares in front of Wally World..AND with posters of their mags and books.....The store manager must be a Witless. Anyway everytime I go into Wal-Mart I come out feeling sick from the chemicals put in the clothes that are on display.

  If they could only see clear enough that it is NOT Jehovah they worship but the WTS, then they would feel ashame for what they said or didn't say to you.
