i couldnt sleep tonight, i mean i just went to bed and tryed, but something inside of me forced me back up to write this post, and im dead tired.. i guess i always knew that i did it, even though it fell deep deep into the pits of my mind.. at times ( like now ) when i look back and think " did i really do that " at times i almost convince myself that it wasnt me, it was a story someone had related to me, a scene in a movie that i somehow integrated into my memory and now wasnt sure if it is real or not etc etc.. friggin damb it though, as much as i find relief in toying with the forced denials of it all, and then wondering onto a different thought line without ever coming to a conclusion or facing my actions and dealing with it in an appropriate way......i guess thats what im attempting to do here at 2:20 in the bloody morning !.

i think i remember touching a girl ( she was 12 ) in an inappropriate way.

she was the young daughter of the family that were studying with my parents, and during the study i would play with the kids and anyhow.. im sorry if this sounds weird, its late, im tired and with all this talk lately i guess it has surfaced out from the latent annals of my deepest memory.. .

I was abused as a child (4 years old), and we were told to forget it, let it go, he is a Judge, this will go nowhere,...

bath, if this indeed happened you need to know, without trying to "cover up" a crime...I applaud you for finally owning up to a situation that could have/does ruin a persons life.

BOWEN'S COMMON CAUSE

i'm still thinking this through, so i invite differing perspectives from the board members.. if bill bowen's mission is to expose the wt policy on molestation, and hence by this exposure ellicit a favourable change to their paradigm, wouldnt he as a result be inadvertently " cleansing " the wt, making it " better " ?.

this obviously being a fruitage of his works, and the fact that he has the unequivocal support of most xjw's ( like you fine folk ) wouldnt that mean that you guys would then be a part of that aforementioned work, that of improving the wt image and policy.. therefore the question is cloaked by a seeming contradiction in the form of a paradox, namely..... by supporting billy boy are you destroying the wt image or refurbing it ?.

does god really work in such a mysterious way ?

This is my thoughts on the matter:

1) If it cleans up the Borg...that is a good thing. I mean, I do not believe there is one "true religion" or that there is only one org. that is "Jehovah's Channel", so if it cleans up this org. than the r&f are better off for it.

This leads into #2:

2) I personally do not believe that this IS "Jehovah's only means of communication" and no matter how cleaned up it is...THEY STILL CANNOT PROVE TO ME, because of their past, THAT THEY ARE THE ONLY WAY TO GO.

I don't care how clean they are...if they stand in judgement of ALL other religious org's yet still have the same problems then they are just as wrong. If they are as wrong as al of the other religions, then I choose to believe how I need to believe to bring me closer to God. I do not need anyone here on earth to make decisions on my life/death that are mere humans. Remember the Bible says that only God/Jesus can judge/read your heart.

From my perspectives, if God WERE to have only one religion, at this most critical of all times in human history it would be more "perfect." At least a lot clearer. And I believe that a religion that would be right for me would focus on teachings for how to live life to please God rather than blasting everyone from the average "worldly" person to the religions out there.

If the Bible says that Jehovah is a God of love, and reads our hearts, in my opinion whatever it takes to bring you closer to him is the best way to live.

JW RAPE

the 16 yr old girl get's raped by a 26 yr old ministerial servant,.

so she goes to the elders about it.. the elders arrange a judicial committe meeting and listen to both sides of the story......... then they go to a room for five minutes and come back, and tell her that they are going to privately reprove both of them.........."furious", she asks what she is being reproved for, and they say "fornication".. they remind both of them to not gossip about it or tell anyone.. because it will bring reproach on jehovahs organization.. the girl, then goes to other elders, and appeals the elders decision, and complains that she got raped!!!

!.....she gets another committe meeting,,,,,they quickly come to the same decision and warn her to keep quiet,,,,,,,she goes to other elders.....they promise to help her...they believe her, ...days go by.........months go by...........she is in a meeting when they announce that brother rapist has been given a part on the assembly.........everyone claps........she goes back to the elders asking them how it is that he just got a part on the assembly, when he just raped her............they start reminding her to be submissive to the lead or they will take action,.....she can't keep quiet........they anounce that she has been reproved.........she starts speaking out against the whole body of elders,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,bingo, she is disfellowshipped for apostacy, and there is no value to her claims at all,,,,,,,,she was just an apostate fornicater, trying to smear a nice brother.....

I don't know about, (or understand this optics thing) but what I do understand is that according to my knowledge of the legal system...this is not a bad thing.

The more courts this case goes through...the more people realise what in the h*** is going on in this org. IMHO, the more courts that handle this case, the better.

What I think is going to be the most damaging is J.R. Brown's own statement:

Watchtower spokesman J.R. Brown said the church has a strict policy about sex abuse and advises congregation leaders to follow state law about reporting abuse.

If anyone has the drive to investigate things, you can find out that the state laws are totally inadequate when it comes to the rights of the victim. Only 16 states out of 50 here in the U.S. require the clergy to report. (Anyone wanting to know the stats, email me)

For the society to only go by state laws, IMO, totally negates God's laws.

Dateline and My Mother

she called to tell me she is excitedly waiting for dateline....can i please tape it for her?

oh and btw, all her jw friends are excitedly waiting....they want to see what is happening!!.

puffs, I totally agree with billygoat...at least she (your mom) wants to watch it.

As far as my experience goes, with my parents, they don't want to hear what I have to say in general against the witnesses but my mom told my brother that she would like to see the show. I look at it like a small victory. After all, they are told not to listen to propaganda (sp) against the society.

For Dateline to air this for us makes it a bit more palpable for the rank and file JW. Maybe this will wake a few people up. I mean we all had a jumping off point in our own lives...maybe this is enough for some of the ones still with the hook (society) in their mouths.

One can only hope.

While reading this post a thought came to mind.

Is it possible that this segment of the program was cut so they could have a jumping off point for a future show? What I mean is...first they focused on the Catholics, now the JW's. Is it possible that the "cult" issue will be a natural extension of this whole story line? Especially since we have had many "cults" and religions causing damage to the rank and file people from Jim Jones right down to the JW's.

I don't think that I would automatically accuse any media of not doing what "we want them to do." Their job is to stretch things out as much as possible, without boring the people, for ratings.

Just a thought.
