Jw still believe 4026 B.C.E as Adams creation...?
by thedepressedsoul ini was doing some "research" and came across jw articles that all talk about 4026 b.c.e as adams creation.
it even went as far as to state, "there are no actual records of ancient man, his writing, agriculture, and other pursuits, extending into the past before 4026 b.c.e., the date of adams creation.
since the scriptures outline mans history from the very creation of the first human pair, there can be no such thing as prehistoric man.

Would be great if the OT had dates and records like those pesky satanic pagan nations kept, of course then where would the numerology and mystery be and the need to faith and speculation and ambiguities. Guess it's better to not have good records for the most important book supposedly ever written. -

Last nights meeting...
by DATA-DOG ini know dubs are delusional.
i know dubs don't reason well.
i know dubs are a bit off, like many groups.

Data-dog that part made me extremely uncomfortable as well. My wife most sense my utter discomfort and embarrassment by this organization.
This is not the religion I was raised in. It's dying an ugly death, a sort of wizard of oz don't look at the man behind the curtain distraction show.
I always had a fear in the back of my mind all these years, what if this was just another mainstream religion. Then blindly tell myself it couldn't be. Well... I am for $hit sure now that is indeed it is. Mainstream and crazy.

I love people, but I lose immediate respect for anyone who believes the bibles account of the flood, you have to be so incredibly blinded by cognitive bias to buy that crap. Even at my most fateful I guess I believed it was allegory at best. Total nonsense for so many reasons. -

Who is your favorite "Apostate"? Who helped you see the truth about "The Truth"?
by minimus ini would have to say that ray franz was the biggest influence for me.. when i first got on this board, a poster by the name of james, a former bethelite and organization heavy, helped me understand a lot of the inner workings in the upper echelons of the society.. .
and of course, farkel's common sense approach was (usually) helpful..

GB says, "Our way of worship will soon be altered."
by Separation of Powers inmy mom called me yesterday to ask how i was doing.
i hadn't seen her in a while, so it was nice to hear her voice.
we went through the motions of jw small talk and then she started telling me about her co visit from last week.

Probably something about shelling out money for abuse cases. -

Can the Redwoods Date the Flood?
by Seven inscience, biblical and anti-biblical, recognizes that there was a period of time in the distant past when the earth was barren.
how long ago and how long it lasted is a matter of conjecture...unless one accepts the biblical record.
but out in california, almost as far west as one can go, there stand beautiful monuments to the past-the redwoods: monuments that were seedlings when noah was laid to rest; saplings when the tower of babylon was deserted; stalwart young giants when david downed his giant.

The contempt of Anthony Morris: the face doesn't lie.
by freemindfade ini have noticed something even long before even looking into ttatt, something about morris bothered me.
i am personally very attuned to body language, facial expressions and general subtleties in human interaction.
there was something about his face that really bothered me, and i will explain it.

Opinions of GB members
by campaign of hate ini would like to give my opinion of each gb member.
i would probably split them into 3 groups.. group 1 - the hardliners.
tony the 3rd: he knows exactly what hes's doing and saying.

I agree on Jackson. He is friendly. Has strong convictions with some good arguments or reasoning. To me before I got engrossed in seeing these guys too much he was the face and voice of the GB (to me), which was tolerable. Splain just seems odd. But tm3 seems to be the brawn of the group.
Jackson seems kind, and like a warm bible historian. I can appreciate those two things.
TM3 on the other hand seem like this "Jesus is my brother and he's gonna kick your ass!"

What is the main reason the Watchtower Society baptize their children so young?
by RULES & REGULATIONS injesus was thirty was he was baptized.
today, you hear of young children getting baptized as young as 10 years old.
the parents, family and congregation think it's a wonderful idea that someone dedicates their life to jehovah at such a young age.

Its as simple as becoming a tool for emotional blackmail
You've checked into hotel california early...
You've taken the pill from the matrix,
You're committed and now they can use your friends and family as leverage
