I said there are a number of odd things about Trump and his team's relationship with Russia and it deserves an investigation
Well it's a good thing there are three going on right now, and have been going on, isn't it?
washington — president trump asked the f.b.i.
director, james b. comey, to shut down the federal investigation into mr. trump’s former national security adviser, michael t. flynn, in an oval office meeting in february, according to a memo mr. comey wrote shortly after the meeting.. “i hope you can let this go,” the president told mr. comey, according to the memo.. the existence of mr. trump’s request is the clearest evidence that the president has tried to directly influence the justice department and f.b.i.

I'm flattered that you associate me with Bohm, whose reasoning and command of facts cuts through your deflection and insults like a knife through butter, whether you recognize it or not. I notice that the weaker your argument, the stronger your name calling.
Thats when there is nothing to argue about because most of the time you are talking about complete nonsense. so I call someone like that stupid.
For instance: An inconvenient fact is still a fact, something the right is very reluctant to admit.
WTF are you even talking about for one, and second what the hell does that have to do with the discussion.
its just... stupid.

Would you say, "If you have evidence of the Watchtower protecting pedophiles please give it to the media outlets and current investigations. If you have evidence you can have Watchtower shut down ASAP. The truth is there is no evidence yet."
You are desperately stretching that pretty far. Come on now. There is not collusion evidence yet. As I said this is where we stand in a fact-based world, not an emotional hysterical one.
As of today they just announced there were 18 undisclosed communications with the Trump team and Russia during the campaign, but wait there is more, The people who described the contacts to Reuters said they had seen no evidence of wrongdoing or collusion between the campaign and Russia in the communications reviewed so far.
Until that part changes, you can't say its fact.
gutted to hear this.
spent countless hours listening to his music... i'm sure some here will appreciate his contribution.
i idolised matt cameron throughout my teenage years, cornell's distinct voice smothers some of my favourite music..... sad news indeed.
terrible news, amazing talent

And what happens if against all odds he were actually not guilty of anything? Theoretically

Here is what has been and still is my problem, this:
"We have multiple lines of evidence all closing in on the fact that Trump's campaign colluded with the Russians"-Coded Logic
That is not a true fact. I am not saying Trump is guilty OR innocent, but there are a lot of you (bohm, sir, spoletta, coded logic and more) who have concluded he is guilty based on supposed "EVIDENCE".
If you have evidence of collusion coded as you say you do, please give it to the media outlets and current three investigations. You have evidence you can have Trump impeached ASAP. The truth is there is no evidence yet. Maybe "evidence" doesn't mean what you think it does, I don't know.
As of today they just announced there were 18 undisclosed communications with the Trump team and Russia during the campaign, but wait there is more, The people who described the contacts to Reuters said they had seen no evidence of wrongdoing or collusion between the campaign and Russia in the communications reviewed so far. That, that is where we are now.
Again, that can all change, but you all act so high and mighty, and yet you keep calling evidence and fact things that simply are not. I don't care how much you dislike someone, they should be condemned based on facts and actual evidence. That's how things are supposed to work.
I simply happen to agree with what Paul Ryan said(no bohm, I am not a Paul Ryan fan even though I agree with him and quote him so take a xana now, there is your trigger warning). “We can’t deal with speculation and innuendo. There is a lot of politics being played. Our job is to get the facts and be sober about doing that.”
Its really as simple as that. There may be evidence and facts that will incriminate Trump, but lets have cool heads until we get there.

Well, i didn't get it from him. There is lots of redundancy out there. And the principle of it is that obstruction is a big deal. That doesn't change it. I don't care who else put it up there, it's still Comey testifying regarding obstruction.

Comey was building a case about Trump interfering with an ongoing FBI investigation.
Then it wouldn't be leaked, it would have been more serious
Comey was seeking to preserve the Russia Investigation and did not want to bias his agents.
Same, doesn't matter, if it was an obstruction of justice, he would have had to have done something more serious about it, not wrote himself a memo that got leaked 3 months later
Comey felt his words alone were not sufficient to bring charges against the President of the United States.
Agreed
Comey was considering rolling a Obstruction of Justice charge in with the Russian Investigation.
Same as the above two answers, it would have been handled much differently. Also wouldn't leaking case material in an obstruction case put the leaker in a very dangerous position??
BOHM I have no idea who you are talking about, the expert from the Comey testimony is all over the internet, chose whatever maniac you want to try and associate me with, I have no idea who you are talking about. If he tweeted about I am sure he is not the only one... idiot

I don't think so, he could have just stopped there, at not in my experience, but he elaborated.
Because it would be a big deal to tell the FBI to stop doing something that -- without an appropriate purpose. I mean where oftentimes they give us opinions that we don't see a case there and so you ought to stop investing resources in it. But I'm talking about a situation where we were told to stop something for a political reason, that would be a very big deal. It's not happened in my experience.
IF the Memo exists, and IF Comey really did think it was a big deal, he has boxed himself in for not doing anything about it.
Do you think this part is confined to the DOJ?
But I'm talking about a situation where we were told to stop something for a political reason, that would be a very big deal.
There are only two outcomes, 1. it doesn't exist, or 2. it does, and Comey lied and didn't do anything about until after he got fired. Just think about it.
It will be interesting to hear him testify and to see the memo. I feel the actual tone of the supposed leak still doesn't amount to "intent", but the damage may be done either way and Trump may be in hot water.
I could see Comey testifying, saying it happened, but he did not take it as Trump trying to interfere. then we are back at square one and all this hype was for nothing.

Coded Logic, I can debate with you, and others, but some I really don't feel like its a debate, so I don't care about debate rules if someone is an idiot, I'd like to let them know lol. Like BOHM and Spoletta
But I digress, the person at biggest risk of getting screwed here is Comey, and I actually think an impeachment could cause more problems in this country at this moment than Trump currently is causing in all honesty.
