  What to do about wife and elders

  it seams like every time i turn around i find out that the elders are trying to meet with one of my kids or are talking with them about things and of course my wife is instigating it.

  if i say anything to my children she mentions something and they come running.

  one of the ms's is also studying with them as well.

  You could play it real low and say with the ongoing sex abuse cases pending against the WTS, you'd prefer no one try to spend time alone with your kids!

  science increasingly makes the case for god.

  the odds of life existing on another planet grow ever longer.. intelligent design, anyone?.

  In my opinion this makes a bigger case for atheism not god. It would just show the randomness of life. Watch cosmos. Earth has had life spring up and advance only to be destroyed by it. And it may again. Part of gods perfect plan? I think not. Even now our own planet and sun can harm us. Life on other planets would only prove evolution under proper conditions

  Science still doesn't have the answers on how life first appeared

  since so many athiests in this thread, and since i'm going to college, i was curious if what i would learn in biology would change my thoughts and show that life clearly and easily spontaneously happened.

  just looking up the origins of dna or rna there is nothing conclusive.

  for example, scientists today are able to manipulate life.

  This is the difference. science is comfortable in saying they do not have all the answers. This is what keeps the pursuit of truth and knowledge going. Religion is just not allowed to not have all the answers. Blinded by belief. Look at the dark ages. In this day and age it will get harder for religion to maintain this as science and archeology are outpacing the stories of the bible more each day.

  in chapter 4 of luke it says jesus went into the wilderness and he ate nothing but fasted forty days and forty nights..

  now i dont know about any of you but i once got on a 5 day liquid diet and only lasted 2 days.

  i was so hungry that even when i fell asleep i started dreaming a hot brunette was handing me a couple of slices of pizza.
