So I have a good recipe for royal icing and I'm not so I'm going to try to go ahead and turn it into English measure for you .. :)

Ingredients:

* (2.399 UK Tsp) 3 US Tablespoons Wilton Meringue Powder
* (454 g) 1 lb. (4 cups) confectioners' sugar (about 1lb.)
* (4.799 UK Tsp) 6 US Tablespoons warm water*

Beat all ingredients until icing forms peaks (7-10 minutes at low speed with a heavy-duty mixer, 10-12 minutes at high speed with a hand-held mixer). Recipe makes 3 cups.

NOTE: Keep all utensils completely grease-free for proper icing consistency.

* For stiffer icing, use 1 tablespoon less water.

**When using large countertop mixer or for stiffer icing, use 1 tablespoon less water.

Thinned Royal Icing: To thin for pouring, add 1 teaspoon water per cup of royal icing. Use grease-free spoon or spatula to stir slowly. Add ½ teaspoon water at a time until you reach proper consistency.

Never tried this but here's another recipe I found to use without meringue powder

Royal Icing Using Egg Whites:

2 large egg whites (60 g) <-- I suggest weighing because eggs differ in size so much.

(2.133 UK tsp) 2 US teaspoons fresh lemon juice

3 cups (330 grams) confectioners (powdered or icing) sugar, sifted

For Royal Icing with Egg Whites: In the bowl of your electric mixer (or with a hand mixer), beat the egg whites with the lemon juice. Add the sifted powdered sugar and beat on low speed until combined and smooth. The icing needs to be used immediately or transferred to an airtight container as royal icing hardens when exposed to air. Cover with plastic wrap when not in use.

in the last 10 years or so it seemed that deer were attracted to my trucks like magnets .

Talking about hitting birds ...I had an uncle that hit a vulture (best I remember -- some kind of buzzard type bird). He actually came through the winshield and got so mutilated that the contents of his stomach covered the inside of his truck. Can you imagine the inside of a vulture's somach? .. EEWWW

My mom hit a bear once with me in the car. That was gross. We almost missed him and hit him just at the right front bumper. Under the car was covered in blood.

I hit a puppy once. I cried and knocked on thier door. The guy said, "don't worry about it. He wouldn't stay out of the road so I figured this would happen." The man grabbed it up and threw it pouring blood into the woods. I almost puked....

I got two Saturday. I was so busy with company this weekend that I haven't really sat down to look them over throughly though. I just saw one was from australia with a kangaroo on it !! And the other one had a deer and was from California! I was so excited to get them both. I can't wait to get home and look at them closer.

i'm so happy for you! I'm glad it was a positive experience.

I feel different about going to church than I ever did about going to the KH. I actually look forward to going to church and get excited about it.

... for a week and a half trip.. i am such a jerk that i gave her a really hard time about it.. it's hard for me to take care of the kids alone and do everything she does.. oh well!.

could be worse, could be raining!.
