  Mr. Flipper's Son Gets 3rd response from Witness Mother - Your Advice ?

  so my son after sending the 2nd letter you guys read the other day , the next day gets this response from his mother.

  you will notice in reading the 1st paragraph of this response , i believe the first half of the 1st paragraph is a quote from some watchtower publications or something to prove god's existence , then after in the second paragraph she gets down and dirty trying to " convert " my son back.

  so here it is, see what you think , and would love to hear your takes and advice.

  Mr. Flipper,

  I agree with darkuncle, she is in defensive mode right now. Anytime they are challenged they circle the wagons--so to speak. Maybe after the dust settles he could just highlight the flip flops in policy and how they have cost people their lives.

  A JW Mom can play the guilt card like a pro. Our mother (org) did it all the time, remember?

  Your son is doing fine so far, but he may need to use the kid gloves for awhile. If you push a believer too far, they tend to kinda snap and not be able to reason( as if they really can in the first place without magazines). It would be great if he could give her a research project that would make her dig out the old bound volumes and see the differences between then and now.

  it was pretty much always the same;.

  "our expenses for the operation of this fine spiritual meal is estimated to be $18,000.

  Cool thread! I love my sisters and have gotten so much support from them here. We have intelligent ones, zany ones, comforting ones, and above all STRONG ones.

  I prefer real trees, but have an artificial one this year. The extreme draught in the south has made it a little dangerous to have a real one. They are so dry, if your tree ignited it would go up in flames within seconds--literally.

  a very good friend of mine is in charge of plant maintenance at a local factory.

  there are 300 people working in this factory and two of them are muslims.

  the muslims have requested that they require special toilets just for themselves.

  usually, i enjoyed the public talk, if the speaker was good but i thought the theocratic ministry was boring!!!.

  the service meeting was just a sales meeting.

  the book studies were simply ridiculous.

  Definitely the WT study. There would be a countdown going on in my head----21 more paragraphs, 20 more paragraphs, etc., until it was finally over. Did every congregation have at least two long-winded commenters that slowed everything down?? I did that same countdown at the book study, but it wasn't nearly as bad. Looking at my best friend's brother helped pass the time. (He was hot).

  ok, i'm not picking on jc cannon pre se, but from what i've read he actually has the belief that he's jesus, come down as a homosexual and black, becasue god got tired of us red heads and wanted a new representive... one that was black and gay... you know that crazy god, he gets sick of shit after a while and abandons it... he must be tired of the red headed straight jesus and now wants a change..... then i think of my family, they still believe the jw bulll.... after all the evidence they believe.... then i think of nazi germany, what a bunch of nutjobs there..... and jim jones and david koresh and those now that belive all that zeigist shit.... and so on and so on.... so here's the question... what the ever loving hell is wrong with these people?

  The dude that is homo-black jesus is whack. Jesus had nothing against homos and blacks. But when someone comes up like that my hair pricks up. Jesus wasn't the lily white dude we see in WT and paintings that white dudes make. If we could take race out of the equation it would solve about 50% of the problem.

  Churches stigmatized black folks because it was the thing to do to keep power out of their hands. I will pump my fist when the time comes. For my black americans, they have answers--in a way. I'm rambling and I'm messed up. Yeah two steps forward, three steps back on the keyboard.
