Since JW's can not even step one foot inside a church, temple or what have you, because just going inside is a act of worship. Then how can they go inside a hospital or medical facility that is owned and operated be another religion. EspeciaIly if the hospital has a chapel. I am not saying that they should not seek medical care, however I know of a few JW's who were told they had to quit their jobs because their employers we affiliated with another religion.

I remember reading, many years ago, about a study conducted in I believe Africa. They found a group of people whu lived in a desert region who had never see trees. They showed them pictures of trees and their eyes could not focus and comprehend what they were. I always thought that was interesting.
I/we all know how uninformed many JW's seem to be. But that is their plan they shield their
slavesmembers, and when the member des leave the are the frog being thrown out of the well. Once out the frog starts to sample all the files they can find and sometimes get into trouble. Then the WT can say "see, if you leave this is what happens!" I never heard any JW talk about someone who left the Borg who is doing great in their life, except to say the Satan is blessing them. -

Once you,ve been a witless for three months or longer, you get into a rut of never hearing anything new. Many people just zone out and go through the motions. Some times they become like zombies and that is why many witlesses don't know their own beliefs, and on the rare times that something "new" comes along they are totaly unaware of it. i.e. - Blood fractions, 1914 etc.
Other times there are those who use their mind regulaly, maybe for work. They will not zombie out and they will follow where their mind goes, you know, think for themselfs. Most stick around for two reasons first as had been said, they have family inside and don't want to rock the boat. Another reason some thinking persons stay with the WT is because they feel superior to those inside and they like that feeling. That would help to explain a lot of the arrogant attitudes many JW have. However many plainly stupid JW's are also quite arrogant, so who knows?

he shopped around and cherry picked 2nd adventist views as a foundation.

This should be sent to every newspaper and news outlet. It is well written and, although not supportive, it is not written in a way that most non-JW's would see as an attack. It would really make people think, and would maybe raise some good questions at the doors, that the JW's would not know how to answer.

Not at all. I do not delibertly try to offend or hurt anyone, but I am at the same time a very honest and dirrect person. I have come to realize that many people are looking for ways and statements to be offended by. For them it doesn't matter what you say. Also if you are dirrect and honest, not everyone will agree with you but you will have a clear conscience and they will know exactly where you stand. Also you can be dirrect without being rude, big difference.

LongHairGal, - that is what the investigator said, that they would fabricate something. They will go to any length to "protect" the JW name, hell they sacrifice children so it is really no suprize.
J1 - I agree, my wify was telling me about an elder and his family visiting from Texas. They are on their first vacation out of Texas ever and here for two weeks. And they want him to give a talk, he said yes for the second week of his visit, however the talk he was to give another bro. gives that talk on week one. So they give the visiting bro. another outline to do his talk. I replied "Why don't they just let him relax and enjoy his vacation?" She said "What if he wants to do it?" I said that's fine but since they asked him he feel obligated." Well I was then accoused of trying to find fault, and asked why don't I leave the JW's alone, they don't find fault with others so why do non or ex JW's try and find fault with them. I wanted so bad to ask why do they go door to door if they didn't find fault with others, but i just left it alone, what would be the point?

They will sacrafice a member to "protect" the org. I remember at one of the last assemblies I went to they said "There are no broken homes in Jehovah's orginization." I know for a fact that at that very time there were 5 in our small congragation, three of which happened within one month prior to the assembly. My dad, an elder, said that they they DF'ed one member in each case so they are not in the org and therefore they have no broken homes.
Also when my child was molested the elders "investagated" and talked to the police invertagator, and the county social worker,(I did go to the police and tried to press charges). Two elders, my dad and another one, interviewed my child, and both walked away saying they believed him. However, the perpatrator sent a letter to the elders saying how "He would never bring reproach to Jehovah's name." Blah blah blah. Well that was enough for them, they then said no guilty person would be able to write such a loving letter about their love of Jehovah, and no two witnesses so he is not guilty. He was going to be arrested but my wife interceeded on his behalf and did not press charges. Since the child was my wifes and not mine I could not press charges. The investagator called me in and told me that the elders had "insunuated" that they would produce evidence that I was the guilty party if it went further. Two months later the perp. was mad a MS, and my dad has called him the son he never had.
Boy, did the gossip fly then. I was accused of all kinds of things after that. It was said that I was the molestor, i cheated on my wife, she divorced me, I have illegitimate children, and worst of all I accoused a brother falsely. I even lost a job as a "Well meaning elders wife went to my employer and told them of my suposed transgressions. When the elders found out about that their responce was not to correct the 'spiritual sister" but to say where's the proof that she said it. We were living with my dad at the time (My mother had recently passed away) and he knew what had happened.
All this time I was technically still an active witness.
Sorry for rambling it has been a while since I posted and forgot how good it is to just get it out.

I fully agree that God will read our hearts and judge us accordingly. What I was refering to was how the JW's look at it. If you don't believe everything the society teaches, and change as they change, you are not worthy of life.

Some don't even know what changes have been made, which leads me to another question. If a JW was to die today believing that the 1914 date, and the 1935 anointed cut off dates are still Jehovahs final word, even though they have been officially changed by god. Would they be lost foreve since they we not believing what the FDS says they are to believe?
