Does this give the rest of us a legal way to get our records from the WT?

Mary Magdalene
by I-follow-the-narrow-path inif it was proven that jesus, in fact, has a bloodline.
what do you think this will do to religions?
and is it at all possible to prove that mary magdalene and jesus had an intimate relationship?

Well from that "review" I will not waist my time. I to am a believer and I hear enough anti-christian thoughts everyday, so I don't need to go looking for them. This has been a good chat. My best to you

Sorry for the confusion, I was not saying it was legalism to insist he was single, but rather to insist either position when the Bible is not specific on the issue. You do make a graet point about Paul. I still don't think that Paul "proves" the issuse one way or the other, but your reasoning makes good since to me. As far as stating somthing verbatim from the book, maybe I should read it? Would it really be worth the time? Will it change my mind about the Death, Burial, and resurection of Christ, I don't think so, Other than that is the story at least entertaining or is it just trying to prove a point?

I did not realize I was raging. I was just saying I don't believe it is that important if Jesus was married or not. It won't change the faith of most believers, but maybe I'm wrong on that. I don't think the Catholic church or any other will crumble if he was married.
I honestly did not know who Dan Brown is, as I have not nor do I have any plans on reading the book by him or seeing the Tom Hanks movie. Not for any other reason than I just don't want to. I may chose differantly in the future ut who knows. I seened to upset you whit what I said so I am sorry.
Blues Brother-
Thanks, I totally missed that one.

I don't know who Dan Brown is/was I was refering to Jewish tradition. My only point was that the Bible does not say Jesus was or wasn't married. So it should not be an issue. Some may believe he was and some may believe he was not. We should not divide over this issuse. To insist on one belief or the other when the Bible does not say so, anounts to legalism which is one of the reasons many of us left the Org.

It was "expected" for a Jew to marry and have children. Just as it was "expected" for a son to do the same work as the father, and nowhere does the bible say Jesus was or was not a carpenter. It does say his father was. Nowhere does the bible say that Jesus was or was not married. If the Bible is the word of God and does not mention these things one way or another then it is not important. To say that if he was married or not would make a difference in Gods plans then an all knowing God would have said something about it. IMO

This is all so typical of AI. The "gimics" win and the talent leaves. But as was said earlier the winners turn out to be the real losers. The only winner to have a real carrer has been Kelly. But that was after she left Simons control. Chris has the best voice this season. Elliot and Taylor are also good, but they are not great. Taylor knows he is going to win, and he has known that for the past three weeks. His whold attitude has changed as the weeks go by.(Go back and watch) However when Taylor wins he will put out one album and then before his first tour is over he will fade into the -Why were they then- file. Kat is just a very pritty girl and they did not want to lose her yet. But she will be gone this week, unless Elliot get sick or falls down.

Hi Georgia,
Let's make this real easy, next time you see him tell someone, even if they are a total stranger, that this guy is following you. Act really scared. If he accually talks to you start screaming hystericly- "Leave me alone, stop following me, help police!" Draw as much attantion to him as you can, again act scared. He will very quickly back off and he may get his butt kicked. The leaset would be he would looked like a real ass once people look at him and he starts to run away.
Remember as long as you avoid and "shun" them then you are obeying them and their rules. If they are nice and good people I will show them respect, and return in kind. I will not however play their games. If they are asses I confrount them and make them hide.

NWT 2 Corinthians 5:20
by TheListener inin 2 corinthians 5:20 the nwt says, "we are therefore ambassadors substituting for christ, as though god were making entreaty through us.
as substitutes for christ we beg: "become reconciled to god.".
i could not locate any other bible translations that have the word "substituting" in the text.

If they are sub-ing for Christ then why does he need ro return? Follow me on this for a moment.
In 1914 Christ viewed all the worlde religions and found only the Witnesses doing the right thing. We all know that very little of what they believed then is still taught today. So they, the subs, improved Gods message, and therefore don't need Christ.
What a bunch of arrogant asses.

I do believe that for me and many others that being a JW or having family become JW's has been the worsh thing that has "happened" to us. But I do believe that those uf us who were not born into it, we would fully admit that the responsibility/blame is our own, since we made the desicion to join. However if someone makes a mistake in their life and then tries to correct that mistake, it does not give others the right to interfear with that person or their family. And yes the shunning does interfear with peoples lifes, even if it is only held to on occation.
