  60 minutes ii and ed bradley are doing a series of stories on catholic priests and sex abuse.

  on every story page there is a little email opinion box..church on trial.

  Surviving the Hearing to DF Me.

  i must say that reading all these posts have really brought back so many memories for me.

  i had a terrible experience at my hearing, which i believe now, really bordered on sexual abuse of the mental kind.. our congregation was small.

  this was difficult for the few young people that attended.

  you are right, they never knew you... ........and they never cared about you.........and they molested you mentally with their questioning.......... then they spit you out, and cut you off from all of your support group......leaving you to commit suicide.

  they were wicked............ you were not, you were full of love............i want to take those bastards down soooo bad......... god help me!

  sometimes i wonder if the legalism and the authoritarianism in the wt have a purpose that i intuitively understood at first, and that somehow i've become blinded of the necessity of those things.. two things keep entering my mind - .

  1. jesus likened his followers to sheep, and;.

  2. the israelites got tired of the manna.. in leaving the wt, am i like the israelites who complained about the "contemptible bread"?

  hi lawyers of the gov body!.......how are you?.........by now there must be at least one of you that realizes the gov body's position on this issue is morally wrong........they are harboring pedophiles, and children are being molested and victimized........and you are defending them!........do you feel jehovah wants you to do that?...........think of the little children.........and what jehovah wants you to do.......... do you feel a loyalty to the gov body because they put you through law school?

  who should you be loyal to?........

  Legal Question: How Strong is Barbara's Case?

  a question for the legal beagles out there:.

  since the watchtower thugs have told the press during the dateline repartee that barbara anderson was not being taken to task for her anti-molestation iniitatives, but alleged that she was being tried for ``allegations or serious sins'' unrelated to her activism, how strong a case would she have in court?.

  bear in mind that barbara and the others of the dateline four say they did nothing more than speak for the protection of children and then publicly challenged the wt to publicly state their accusations and evidence, and that they would indemnify them against any charges arising therefrom.. so.... if they call her a sinner, say that her sin has nothing to do with whistle-blowing and is serious enough to merit expulsion -- as serious as adultery or theft, yet refuse to accept her challenge to show the world the basis of their charges if they are held harmless, how is that not libel and therefore actionable?

  hawkaw,......... there is a big difference now,........the pedohile issue is in the media right now.

  barbara was on dateline............ it's not like it used to be.

  the gov body is going down...

  the catholic church used those same tactics and worse, to harbor pedephiles for centurys............. they are loosing in court now.
