if you could only associate with them, you would see that the example just given of sydlig, is what they are really like.
they really know very little about love.
ever wonder what it's like for a little girl, who finally gets the courage to tell on jw daddy's bad habit of making her @#$% him, just to be traumatized by 2 elders who tell her she doesn't have 2 witnesses and now she must "go home with daddy"?.

why do you think abuse victims don't come forward until years and years later?
i was wondering if anyone could comment on the likelyhood of a witness elder considering physical evidence of molestation.
so far all i am hearing about is the 2+ witness rule and i would like further clarification.. if sally-sue's parents walked up to elder marvin and said: 'hey!

you paint a picture of a loving elder, caring about the child and justice.
how come there is sooo much EVIDENCE of just the opposite?
how come those who bring the evidence forward are being disfellowshipped by these so called "loving elders"?
how come silent lambs is getting more and more victims coming forward who are willing to TESTIFY?
here's what would really happen in your illustration;
elder;........what?.........you are accusing brother phaux of RAPING YOUR DAUGHTER?........brother phaux is a pioneer elder, and goes on vacation with the circuit overseer, and district overseer....
you can't accuse him of "RAPE"!!!!!! i have to talk to the other elders about this.

we better tell the parents to quit talking about brother phaux, he has already called the district overseer..........and the district oversees says he will stand behing bro phaux, and help him get legal aid from headquarters.
we better reprove the parents, and tell them to be quiet about this matter.
many on this forum criticize elders as being incompetent.
i've know a few myself, but you must agree that there are also very good elders also.. well, here is a case and i would like to know what you would do if you were an elder.. a fourteen (14) year old male has sex with a twelve (12) year old female.
the female confesses to her parents and the parents report to the elders.

you know, it's sorta like claiming to be god's mouthpiece and starting an organization........but nothing you predict comes true.
ok i visited the about.com forum (christianity - general) to see if anyone there mentioned the dateline story and sure enough there was a mention of it.
a jw replied to it and i couldn't resist but to post a different view of the situation.
she of course replied to me and much of what she said is very distrubing and some of it is out right lies.
i agree with belbab,.......this guy is a pro-smooth talker expert, a big wig.
as far as, do they shun accusers?.......the dateline show is evidence of that.... just look at who supported the rape victim? ....only her imediate family.........and who supported the rapist?,,,,,,,the whole congregation!!!!
his answer about the accusations being investigated by the elders?......well, the phone call to the legal dept is what you need to center in on.........simple advice was given,,,,,"if he says he didn't do it, just drop the matter"..."don't get yourself in a jam".....that came straight from brooklyn, on tape.....
as far as how many cases?.......... the number of victims who will testify is getting bigger and bigger as we speak.
more and more are going to come forward and hook up with silent lambs.
as soon as they start loosing money in court, they will realize they need to do something........until then, they could care less........cause they can sweet talk their way out of it.
been inactive for about a year now, have quite a lot of anger that needs attention!
wondering if it would be a good idea to write down my grievances and put in a letter of disassociation, or simply fade and deal with my anger another way?

plus it will help others to see what people really go through in the organization.

at the kingdom hall last night the po read a letter that the society had fedexed to all congregations debriefing the friends on the dateline program.
basically they said that jehovah's witnesses do not harbor, endorse or support pedophiles and every since 1997 they have instructed the elders to bring to the attention of the local authorities any person who was guilty of child molestation.
of course little childrens MOLESTERS are not found GUILTY, cause they don't have TWO WITNESSES.......so, THE ACCUSING MOLESTED CHILD is punished.
it's a nice "side step"......from the gov body.
instead of addressing the issue, they address "how to cover it up", without making any "real changes".
i have a question on the issue of child abusers within the organization.. i know that it should be reported to the authorities as it is a crime against human laws, but it is also a sin against jehovah so it must handled theocratically also.. my question is: should a child abuser be disfellowshipped from the christian congregation?

naa, "molesters" and "rapist elders" shouldn't be disfellowshipped...
alot of them give good talks!!!!
it's best just to overlook their crimes, and focus on the real criminals, those who "oppose the elders" for not taking action against rapist elders.........they are "apostates"!!!!!......and as such need to be quickly removed from the congregations forever.
i'm still thinking this through, so i invite differing perspectives from the board members.. if bill bowen's mission is to expose the wt policy on molestation, and hence by this exposure ellicit a favourable change to their paradigm, wouldnt he as a result be inadvertently " cleansing " the wt, making it " better " ?.
this obviously being a fruitage of his works, and the fact that he has the unequivocal support of most xjw's ( like you fine folk ) wouldnt that mean that you guys would then be a part of that aforementioned work, that of improving the wt image and policy.. therefore the question is cloaked by a seeming contradiction in the form of a paradox, namely..... by supporting billy boy are you destroying the wt image or refurbing it ?.

ya, bill is cleansing the wt organization a little, just the part about children being raped and silenced........even though that course of action has led him to figure out that the wt is not god's organization, his focus is on the children.
i think he will have sucsess in that area, because most societys don't tolerate pedohpile activity or rapists.....thefore, he will get the needed support.
as far as making the organization better,,,,,,,yes, but it will still self destruct,........he can't weed out their corruption, it's a corrupt organization from top to bottom.
my mom (a jw) watched the dateline program.
i asked her the next day what she thought of it.
she told me that erica was not a jw and that is why they did not support her in court.
erica wasn't a jw???.......... exactly!!!!!......when she brought the rape charges forward, and the edlers told her to "just be quiet about it" cause we don't want to harm this "fine elders reputation"........and she didn't keep her mouth shut about being raped by an elder.......... she was then slandered, and deemed an apostate.
talks were given, (not mentioning names)rumors were started, and the whole cong was made to be aware that she was an "apostate".
so when she went to court, the brain-washed jws weren't focusing on the issue, "RAPE, BY AN ELDER"........they were more focused on what the corrupt elders had spoon fed them about erica.
so they supported the "JW RAPIST ELDER"......cause he is a brother, but the girl that got repeatedly raped was just an apostate.
