thank you all for your comments.
For those who don't believe in the Bible or Jesus, then obviously a Bible Study would not be right for you.
Half Banana,
Good food for thought. I will look up that book you suggested.

we - as in we jws - say that the memorial is our only holiday.back in my young days when i was still living at home, my mom would buy us (or as we got older and made our own money, make us buy) new suits for the memorial.
my mom would put on her best dress which she probably only bought for the memorial.
she would say, it is our only holiday so we should dress special for it.
All Christians are to partake of Jesus body and blood. Its funny the JWs don't partake because they feel they will live forever in a paradise earth. And that partaking is only for heaven bound. But Jesus clearly says unless you partake, you have no life in you. And will not be resurrected.
John 6:53-54 (NIV)
53 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day
Previous to verse 53; it was the unbelieving Jews who did not understand what Jesus meant about his body and blood and Jesus rebuked them.
All Christians partake because it is how we symbolize that we accept Christ's sacrifice for us, and we are obeying him to do this "in remembrance of me". And Jesus promised to be "in spirit" with his believers until he returns.
Due to the WT False Prophet misleading the JW's, The JWs are unknowingly rejecting Jesus Christ each year at their memorial. And they will not receive the everlasting life they are so busily slaving for.

to funny nice job....
Although it was very funny, I have to agree with everyone else that it accomplished nothing.
Any time things like this happen to active JWs, they feel they are being persecuted because they are "in the truth", so Satan is targeting them.
it only reinforces their faith.
That's why when they come to my door, I am polite. I do try to plant seeds of doubt with scripture. But ultimately, they walk away and I wish them a good day.
happy easter!

I'm not saying the bible has no place in Christianity.
However, remember what Jesus said to the Pharisees of his day John 5:39-41New International Version (NIV)
39 You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, 40 yet you refuse to come to me to have life.
You can read the bible inside and out. Even the JWs do that. However the message of the Bible is Jesus Christ. He is The Word, The Life and the Truth. Not the Book of the Bible.
The Bible is not infallible. It was written by men and translated by men.
A Christian does not become a Christian by reading the Bible. he/she does so by Holy Spirit testifying to their spirits they are Sons of God. Romans 8:16.
While the Bible may introduce you to Jesus Christ, you need to accept him, and allow him through Holy Spirit to reside in you.
Hope this makes sense.

We now have only 5 more seats open.
i managed to find a copy of "going clear" on the internet.
i won't post a link because most are loaded with pop-ups and you have to be careful about accidental downloads.
mine was no exception, but i managed to keep the computer clean.
I saw it.
Thought it was disturbing. Don't see how anyone can call it a "religion".
Seems to appeal to ego of participants. I guess all cults do. Members want to have some inside knowledge or ability no one else has.
Tom Cruise seems even nuttier now than before and I feel sorry for John Travolta.

Thank you all for the comments and good advice!
Since leaving the Organization I have done a complete turn around regarding my belief system. I no longer believe the Bible is the Infallible Word of God. Lets face it, the Bible was written by men who were "inspired" of God. But were they infallible? NO. Did the Bible drop down from heaven as a complete book? Of course not! The NT Bible is simple a collection of letters written to the early churches, as well as the early Acts of the Apostles. Can we learn about Christ from these writings? Yes we can. But we have to put them in perspective that they were written for a specific audience at a specific time.
I've come to learn that Jesus Christ IS the "Word of God". Not the book we call the Bible. This put my faith in a completely different direction.
Also I no longer believe I must attend a Church, rather that I am part of THE Church. The BODY of believers in Christ. Yes you can still be THE Church and go to A Church Building, however I do not believe it is required. When the Bible says "do not forsake the gathering of yourselves together", it simply means gather with fellow believers. This gathering does not necessarily have to be to read the bible (it did not exist when this text was written) but could be simply for fellowship.
This group is totally informal All views WILL be respected. Donations are not required. The group discussions can be decided upon by the entire group.
The problem with religion is that Yes it has grown into big business. Invented by man to dominate others. The Church became an institution rather than the simple idea of "the body of believers". This is because man is interested in making a name for himself and not elevating Christ above all. Since I am aware this can happen, our group is limited to a small group of believers.
