  That Downsizing feeling...........

  don't know if anyone else in the 40something age bracket have experienced the need to get rid of all the "stuff" that's just superfluous in their life or not................but, thought i'd do a poll anyways.............i want to literally clean house and go as spare as i can.............i find myself being extremely drawn to the oriental or shaker style of design and life............clean lines, colors neutral except for small shots of intense color.............everything as organic as possible...........as little to tie/weigh me down as possible in life.......... terri

  As for the REAL reason sex crimes are commited:
  
  "...sex offenders generally reported sexually repressive family
  backgrounds, immature and inadequate sexual histories and rigid, conservative attitudes
  towards sexuality. During adolescence they had less experience with erotica than other
  groups. As adults, sex offenders seemed to catch up with other categories, but did not use
  pornography more frequently than others; and sex offenders did not differ significantly from
  other adults in their reported arousal or reported likelihood of engaging in sexual behaviour
  during or following exposure to pornography."

  I do not like pornography - I am not trying to defend it - I just want the facts straight. There is no correlation between legally availabel porn and the occurance of sex crimes and in some cases (as seen above in the Japan study) it has shown to reduce them. I would advise you, yaddayadda, to not call something nonsense just because you don't like the sound of it.

  okay now i will give you time to pick your jaw up off the floor while i explain what i mean.

  i now belive that religion is just one of the many forms of control that the powers that be (hereafter refered to as 'tha man') use to control people and keep them under foot.

  we know how the current administration uses the religious right to keep the electorate in line, but i also believe the wts serves tha man in the same way.

  Oh... THAT "big news."
  
  While I do see the import of this journal's essay on blood and jw's, I stil fail to understand the "big" part of it and how it even qualifies as "news" in the first place.

  i'd like someone to explain to me, why so many people come out with the phrase, 'i love jehovah'?.

  what is it that they're meant to be loving?.

  jehovah was a pretty nasty war god of the israelites.

  What I meant by this was being taught Jehovah is a caring, loving God, always willing to listen, blah blah blah.
