  Did you ever go out in Field Service on Thanksgiving or Christmas morning

  i never had a problem with going door to door except for the holidays.. one, i felt like we were intruding on our neighbors who set aside time be with their loved ones.. two, it just made me feel more different and jealous that i was not celebrating the holidays with my family.. any thoughts?

  My folks always thought that they were being so brave by going out and preaching to mormons on holidays. I think eventually they figured out that they were just being annoying(like any other time). I was glad because I hated it.

  Society Needs to "Conserve Contributed Funds"

  in another effort to crimp the production of materials, the society is asking jw members to consider reducing their orders of watchtower & awake!

  audio recordings.. at service meetings this week, a letter is read to the congregation:.

  publishers are asked to "conserve contributed funds" by considering which of the 3 formats of audio recording they really need.

  ..."when donations are earmarked specifically for a certain disasters, it is necessary in some countries to use such funds only for the purpose specified by the donor and within a certain period of time, whether the needs of out brothers have been cared for locally or not.

  (is this true and if so, isn't that the whole point of donating to natural disaster victims?

  Hmmmm.... just the usual, "Placing the Watchtower and Awake magazines is by far the most benificial and comforting thing that anybody could ever get while in such an emergency situation. Good wholesome spiritual food far outweighs any temporary relief that fleeting things like food or shelter could ever provide."

  i bought an unusual board/card game the other day.

  in this game you play a train engineer driving trians to deliver souls to hell.

  there are 7 levels of hell and the engineer that delivers the most souls to their right level of hell wins and is spared eternal damnation for one more day.
