Even MORE Things Eating at MY Mind
by Francois ini like big cars, big boats, big motorcycles, big houses and big campfires.
i believe the money i make belongs to me and my family, not some governmental stooge with a bad comb-over who wants to give it away to crack addicts for squirting out babies.
guns do not make you a killer.

I once worked with a man with MS. Needed a walker to get around. He was a liberterian and thought the government should stay out of everything. However, he took full advantage of provisions of the ADA. That was different, of course.

My Ghost Experience This Morning
by rem ini had a terrifying experience this morning and i'm writing about it as a lesson on how we perceive things.
this type of thing has happened to me several times in my life, but since it just happened again this morning, and ghosts seem to be a topic of interest on this board, i thought i'd share it.. i was staying at a friend's house while she was away.
this place is an old apartment complex built in the 1920's in san francisco.

rem, I've experienced the same thing at times. I know what you mean about the fear. Even after I realize that what I think's happening isn't, I'm still scared for a while. That's really the pits if I need to get up to go to the bathroom, but I'm too afraid. I'm wondering though if you could have really heard squeaky footsteps from the apartment above. Is that possible? That would make it seem even more real. Just a thought.

I never liked them 'caused they never seemed like dramas. They mostly consisted of two people talking and describing what happened or what was happening in the distance. They modern day ones weren't quite as bad, but I agree that they were corny.

Graduation Ceremonies
by nonjwalltheway inwhy do jw's celebrate graduation ceremonies?
a graduation ceremony is a celebration holding others on a pedestal when, according to jw policy, all honor belongs to god.
why do they celebrate graduations, anniversaries and baby showers, but birthdays are off limits.

I Am So Sad
by Windchaser injanuary 26 is a particularly hard day for me.
two of my children were born on this day, five years apart.
i can't wish either one of them a happy birthday.

((((((((((((((Windchaser)))))))))))))))))
I have an idea how you feel. My sad day is in three days. My daughter was born on the 29th. She's still a jdub and won't speak to me. I'd give anything to be able to undo raising her as a jdub, but that's not possible. When I think of everything she missed because of my stupidity I could kick myself. My thoughts are with you. Take care, Chris

Are pets important in your life?

i noticed that most families do have pets.
for people living alone, a pet is a good companion.

We have two kitties and I'd hate to be without them. We'd like to get a dog but we don't think Sophie could handle it. When we got our second kitty her whole personality changed. She was no longer the friendly, give me some attention, kitty she was before. She just couldn't stand the competition. We don't want her to go through that again.
