  If you had an inkling of understanding of what libertarian political philosophy is, you would not have made this statement.

  Who cares? How many elected officials in this country belong to the Libertarian party? How many Congressman, Senators, and Presidents have come from the Libertarian party? Why?

  Like I said before, the Libertarian Party is nothing more than the Witness Protection Program for conservative Republicans who elected the worst President in American history once, and helped him steal the previous election.

  so we are watchin new christine and there are several child birth scenes of agony......and i tell my wife to be glad she never had to go through that.....she agrees............and i say..."why the hey did god have to make that so awfully painful?".............

  she says "he did not".......i. i say "oh ya he did.".....

  she says "not originally"...... i say "and then he did!".........

  Anyone heard of Watchtower policy change concerning pedophiles

  i'm passing this along from someone else on another discussion board.

  the claim of any substantive change in the policy on pedophiles is news to me.

  can anybody verify or falsify this claim?.

  Not everyone that is "needy" is scum. In your world Burns, when the going gets tough, it feels like you are saying Tough Shit.

  That's because people like BTS care only about themselves. You would think the son of immigrants who were welcomed with open arms by our countries "socialized" government programs would have a little more appreciation. One of the greatest lessons learned from the Great Depression was the need for a social safety net. For every scumbag out there gaming the system there are ten honest people just trying to better their lives, but people like BTS and John Doe lump them all together and assume they're all losers. Purps your story sounds very similar to my mother's. When she fled in the middle of the night with 3 young children to escape the abuse of my alcoholic father, it was government run "socialized" programs which saved our lives. Had we had the misfortune to be in the same situation before WIC, HUD housing, Welfare, the School Lunch program, Pell Grants, etc. we likely would have been raised in a life of drugs and prostitution. Instead my mother was able to receive a helping hand and get an education. We then moved up to lower middle class status.

  Let me say this again: For every ONE scumbag out there, there are ten honest people who just need some help. This is one of the core differences between us Democrats and the Republican/Conservative/Libertarian philosophies. Democrats believe in a social safety net, the other side believes in their own bank accounts. "Pull yourself up by your own bootstraps" and "rugged individualism."

  Now everybody watch while BTS and John Doe proceed to flame me. Here come the insults about my intelligence and whatever else they can come up with. Whatever, I have a Calculus class to go to.

  I happen to work as a management level engineer for a fortune 500 and so probably you would consider me as one of the pigs. I consider myself a successful example of what can happen to you if you work hard after getting the hell out of the witnesses. So, my dear, in this case - I do give a damn.

  I was going to refrain from posting anything else on this thread, but this is worth it. JWoods, that is awesome! All political disagreements aside, what an amazing accomplishment!
