i'm pulling this out of the original thread since people are blowing by this as if it were nothing.. the blue portion appears on page 17 of the june 1, 1991 watchtower, in the article titled their refuge--a lie!, which criticizes "christendom" for seeking help from the united nations rather than jah.. .

I know of some "prominent" Elders who are just now learning about the WTS and the UN situation.

It is amazing to me that they have had their heads in the sand for so long.

One was told of this way back in October and paid no attention to what he was being shown.

It's Finally Over!!

my wife and i attended our last meeting last night.

it wasn't so bad, since it was bookstudy and they threw a little party for us afterwards - we are moving to wa from pa next week.

we will never set foot in a kingdom hall again - feels great.

I showed my wife your post last night. This morning she woke up laughing about the way you threw your Isaiah books out when your got home from the meeting. That was so funny.

today is my birthday, born in 1936. that makes me 66. i can hardly beleive it.

i'm still in good health but know it's just a short run until something does me in.

i'm really thankful for the great life i've enjoyed, no real problems that i consider serious.

Age

Here's something to think about?

Do you realize that the only time in our lives when we like to get
old is when we are kids?

If you are less than 10 years old, you're so excited about aging
that you think in fractions. How old are you?... I'm four and a
half!

...You are never 36 and a half... you're 4 and a half going on
Five.

That's the key. You get into your teens, now they can't hold you
back. You jump to the next number. How old are you? "I'm gonna be
16." You could be 12 but you're gonna be 16.

And then the greatest day of your life happens...you become 21.
Even the word sounds like a ceremony...you BECOME 21...YES!

But then you turn 30...ooh what happened there? Makes you sound
like bad milk...he turned, we had to throw him out, There' no fun
now.

What's wrong?? What changed?? You BECOME 21, you turn 30, then
You're pushing 40, you reach 50.... and your dreams are gone.

Then you make it to 60... you didn't think you would make it!!!!

So you become 21, you turn 30, you're PUSHING 40, you reach 50, you
Make it to 60 ...then you build up so much speed you HIT 70!

After that it's a day by day thing. After that you HIT wednesday...
You get into your 80's you hit lunch. You turn 4:30, my grand
mother won't even buy green bananas... it's an investment you
know, and maybe a bad one.

and it doesn't end there...into the 90's you start going
backwards...I was JUST 92... Then a strange thing happens.
If you make it over 100, you become a little kid again...
I'm 100 and a half!!!!

Gee whiz, I'm glad to see there's something to look forward to.

Growing old is inevitable....growing up is optional
