  I wish I could go to the beach, but the nearest one is 90 or so miles away, and it's almost midnight here, and dark and cold

  There are different accents for different areas over here. I have a broad northern accent, but most people understand me. There are parts of the UK where I almost need an interpreter to understand what my countrymen are saying! In the south accents are much posher, the type you will often hear in British films.

  Do you mean "titch"? That termis often used to describe a small person.

  I'm talking to people all day of every day at work, giving advice on how to deal with various problems, and most of them are very grateful. I am told by my manager I have a very soothing way of talking to people, I make them think I really care. I guess makung other people happy is what makes the job so satisfying

  I work for British Telecom, in a call centre. It isn't particularly difficult work, but it pays well, and I like the job and the company. Do you like your job?

  Nothing much. I have been at work today, until 7:45pm. I am listening to some great music by a Brit band called Ten Years After, who were around in the 70s and generally chilling out, looking forward to my day off tomorrow. How about you?

  There are 15 in a team, you can't pass the ball forward, there are things called scrums, where 6 players from each team sort of crouch down and push each other trying to get the ball, points are scored for "tries", which is when someone grounds the ball behind the opposing teams line, and kicks over the bar. It's a tough game really, sometimes like organised thuggery.

  the witnesses will say that they treat everyone alike, no matter what color they are, or what nationality they are or even how rich or poor a person is.

  I t made a difference in my cong, especially when we refurbished the kh. The elders looked for loans from everyone to help finance the scheme, and those who could lend a financial hand were a lot better thought of than the rest of us who did almost all the physical work.
