I recently found a booklet, yes an entire booklet, printed by WT on Charitable giving. Its complete with color illustrations too. Yet dubs aren't supposed to be making money. It makes me wonder if a lot of their money comes via the way a Bethelite in the Treasurer's office told me. One sister showed up with 10G in cash ($100 bills), said she was making a donation. She had gotten the money from one of her husband's accounts without his knowledge. He would never notice it she said. Of course the amount of 10G forces WT to report to the IRS, creating a paper trial. What to do? Well she was told to donate S9,900 and on the way out of the building drop the last hundred in the contribution box. Those terrible unbeliving mates....

the leaves are changing, there's morning frost - and , of course, it's that time again.

This may be the life that she had hoped that essay could save. It really does seem that all the news is bad for Watchtower these days.

Wedding Traditions are all PAGAN!!! No more Witness weddings!!!
by Lady Liberty ingood morning all, and "happy wednesday"!!.
well, after looking at this, any faithful witness would have to say a firm "no" to a witness wedding!
so.. if weddings, and all their customs are ok for witnesses, then why in the heck are the holidays off limits?

This has bothered me for a long time. I bet they'd love to ban wedding ceremonies. Same with anniversaries but their wives would kill them. And I know Witnesses who follow the "letter of the law" who refuse to go to any weddings, anniversary parties or showers.

Thank God no one listened

while my friends were going to college i was out selling watchtowers.
for some reason while cleaning the garage this morning i was thinking about this and thinking of the doctor i used to go to back then.

Think about it, if all JWs listened to the Governing Body they would all be gone. There would have been no kids to populate Bethel and none to baptize. The only ones left would be the Governing Body.

Congregations Closing Down
by choosing life ini recently heard about a congregation that was "diabanded".
the publishers were reassigned to other congregations.
is this happening elsewhere or just a local thing?
-

That is happening A LOT. Particularly in New York City where friends tell me on a regular basis about congregations being dissolved. Its happening primarily in the English.

Is this a current teaching?
by Honesty ina couple of years ago the "current understanding" was that you must be a jw in "good standing" or a "study" who was progressing towards baptism in order to survive the great day of jehovah.
does anyone know if this is in any publications.
i know it came off the platform but am not sure if it was ever published in any form by the organization.

However, this is what they say on their Website for public reading: "Do they believe that they are the only ones who will be saved? No. Millions that have lived in centuries past and who were not Jehovah's Witnesses will come back in a resurrection and have an opportunity for life. Many now living may yet take a stand for truth and righteousness before the "great tribulation," and they will gain salvation. Moreover, Jesus said that we should not be judging one another. We look at the outward appearance; God looks at the heart. He sees accurately and judges mercifully. He has committed judgment into Jesus' hands, not ours.—Matthew 7:1-5; 24:21; 25:31." http://www.watchtower.org/e/jt/index.htm

The Time Bomb In Every Witness Congregation
by metatron inthe recent court defeat of the watchtower emphasizes a point i have repeatedly dwelt on:.
the confidential judicial files in each congregation of jehovah's witnesses are a potential "bomb"!.
they often make for interesting reading, if you have access to them.

On that Power button on the printer, WTS actually wrote to elders cautioning them about that feature on some copers. That is one reason they give for not wanting letters copied. But many secretaries do it anyway for routing purposes. So everyone take note. There may be goodies stored on KH copiers from time to time.

In response to my email:
by lisavegas420 inwhich is here: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/12/122644/1.ashx.
i just got back this reply: oh and another attachment.
these articles i send to you lisa are sent with the purpose of answering any questions you may have, instead they seem to be causing some confusion which is certainly not my intention, the truths of the bible are clear and simple, jesus christ certainly demonstrated that when he was on the earth, so why not compare with what jesus taught along with how he taught, to see who are following his example.. this is the attachment:.

The Bible's Candid Nature as a Proof of Divine Inspiration
by under_believer inone of the proofs the witnesses (and others) use as proof of the bible's divinely inspired nature is its supposed candor in exposing israel's and others' flaws.
if it were written by men, the argument goes, they would have hidden their failures, inadequacies, and weaknesses.
so, we see moses taking credit for producing water from the crag; we see all of the israelite kings who "did what was bad in the eyes of yahweh.

I had never thought about that. Those writerships cannot be proven.
