went to see Altar of Mithras today.
by wobble init's funny, but i always felt uncomfortable entering a church when i was a witless, being born in it was programmed into me that this was a place of false religion.. today i went to visit a beautifull church in stone-in-oxney in kent (uk).
this church houses a roman altar that was used in the worship of mithras, before christianity came to england.. in the old days i would have taken this as proof that the church is just an extension of pagandom etc.
etc.. but today i was pleased to see the artifact safely housed,to appreciate the beautifull building within which it sits, and to feel some 2000 years of man trying to get closer to god.. the altar,or "stone" which gives the place its name is unique, and only in the church to keep it safe, not least from the vagaries of english weather!.

Morally Bankrupt Blood Policy
by under_believer inin my usual didactic fashion, let's go through the logical steps here.. 1. the society allows witnesses to use many blood fractions: albumin for burn victims is an example.
these medical supplies come from the donated blood supply.. 2. the society forbids witnesses to donate blood.. 3. therefore, individual witnesses who accept treatment from the blood supply are hypocrites.. this is really a horrible situation.
i'm sure they felt up at brooklyn that they were becoming more liberal in relaxing the blood ban; in fact, they created a situation where any witness that accepts any of the arbitrarily allowed blood fractions is taking part in a horrible hypocrisy.

Cancer case in Missisippi
by truthsetsonefree ini just picked up on cnn the case of abraham cherrix, a 16-year-old suffering from hodgkin's disease, who has refused chemotherapy and radiation treatments ordered by his oncologist in favor of an herbal remedy prescribed by a mexican clinic.
i don't see any references on him being a jw.
but it made me wonder.

i wanted to share a short documentary that is premiering this week at the bushwick film festival in new york city.
this is all virtual and i am posting the link specifically for the documentary related to my experiences with the jehovah's witnesses.

Casting Call and stories for Documentary
by truthsetsonefree ini haven't been able to post much over the past few years.
living life outside the dubs has been exhilarating and rewarding.
but i have continued to work on exposing the wt for what it is.

Doesn't this sound familiar?
by truthsetsonefree inexcellent reporting.
this covering of crimes is not unique to catholism.
as a former jehovah's witness elder i can attest to the fact that this is policy in that religion.

More JW hype about religion
by truthsetsonefree inneedless to say they get it all wrong since kofi annan and george bush are talking about how extremeists fuel a 'war of religion' and attck religious.
not that they are about to wage a wage on religion!
