so i was thinking about this whole idea of animals being tame and getting along with each other and how the wts depicts this in their artwork.
i'm having a major issue with this.

Here,s A thought, when Adam realize he was naked in Gen.3 10 and Eve no doubt got tired of
Adam prancing around in the nude, bending over picking flowers, etc. She told him you need something
to cover your butt. Adam saw A lion and notice his fine coat, kill the lion and skin the lion.

once again my wife and i were sent the " witness only " wt version by our lurking jw friend that they study at wt study meetings.
and once again wt society is showing very controlling tendencies towards it's jw members.. do any of you remember the " old days " in the 1970's or early 1980's when witnesses used to have goody night after book study ?

someone stated that it wasn,t appropriate to use work time for informal witnessing, stealing time.
But if someone had a question , it was done at lunch. One coworker became A JW, I never Witness to him
he said it was my conduct that he notice, not my preaching. The people I remerber that was bold, courageous
in the witnessing walk A different step, they were Nuts. A friend of my in high school became A Jw after high
school, she was nuts in school and she became nuttier afterward. My daughter who is A JW, told me, that sister
walks A different beat, but she is used in assembly parts. There are others I remerber, the ones that use the
word of God as A sword, all nuts.
i want to start reading the bible more but i do not want to use the nwt.
the fact that the nwt took so many liberties makes me a little gunshy about other translations, which one would you recommend?.

How does one become spiritually strong, Heb.5;11-14, one needs solid food, not milk, if he conitnue
feeding on milk he stays A child. Hello, where is the solid food . The borg. will not wean it,s members, therefor they continue

i found it amazing being raised in the witnesses to see exactly who got appointed sometimes as an elder.
it seemed that the criteria in my opinion had more to do with getting 10 hours a month in field service, answering at meetings, carrying microphones as a ministerial servant, or handling the magazine or literature counter !
in doing these " functions " and attending meetings on a regular basis - a man was thought to be considered " spiritually strong " and qualify to be an elder and serve on judicial committees judging people's personal problems.
went from publisher to Elder in 2 1/2 years and before I reach 30 yrs. old. How was it done.
Served in A Foreign country with my family for A year and when we move back to the states, we move
to where the need was great. A quick way to become one of the good old boys.
i remember as a kid reading an article - not sure if watchtower or awake - which terrified the life out of me!

My son told me when he was young (11-12 yrs. old) the Malawi article cause intense nightmares.
I think back when I conduct the wt study on Malawi and gave talks on the hideous acts commited .
What was I thinking. I remember the facial expression of the young, horrified. I remember when I gave that
talk all was paying attention..It makes me sick to think about it..Today we protect our young from such
things. Another talk that was given, How the Christian died in the sport stadium in Rome..The
nuts in bethel made it clear, when you give this talk make sure the friends realize the horrible death
those early Christian experience(eaten by lions) in other words SCARE the living SH----- out of them..

i'm a 28 year old active, married jw from belgium.
in the preceding months (i'd say starting from about march) i've been slowly losing my faith.
With so many fading why not stay in and try to do as much damage as you can before you are DF and
can,t take it anymore. I do not know how true this is, but my son-in-law told me a few years back,
there is A group of Brothers that are trying to change some of the teaching of the WT. One was the
shaunning of ex-members, thats hard to believe because this is the only means they have to control
the RF. IF i HAD KNOWN WHAT i KNOW NOW I would have taken A different route. I would have taken
more time to get my family out. When I got out years ago information was not available as it is today.
Take your time, think of your wife, for many of us it ending in divorce. If your wife at this time have to
choose between you and Jehovah and the org. which would she choose.
