sero: Perhaps you didn't read all of the post. The Bible says God made the sun, moon and stars BETWEEN the canopy and Earth. This must mean the canopy you speak of is outside our universe... right? The stars are billions of lightyears away, they aren't within our atmosphere!

I remember the earthquake in Califonia. I know Florida was hit by hurricanes. These experiences that you have gone through must have had a great impact on your life. I have seen the devastations when the Tsunami had hit. When the news came on the television it seemed so unreal.

Merry: No. Allah, "the God", was not and is not a moon god in Islam, regardless of ancient Arab pagan belief. Calling an aspect of Allah's creation "Allah" does not make it so, and this was part of the message of Muhammad to the pagan Arabs. Allah, "the God," as Creator is unique and seperate from creation. Ugh this makes me sick! Muhammad was not even God's prophet. The man tried to commit suicide. He had 2 obvious weaknesses. Who would really want to listen to Muhammed? One of his wives was 8 years old !!!! Also Allah is not the God of the Bible. It is true when you say Allah was unique and separate from creation. I believe in a way it is obvious any parent would feel surprised if their child was missing for 3 days, and after looking for him/her in such a worried state of mind that the child would say..."why were you looking for me?" Wouldn't you be like, "Well really!!" And perhaps even get angry and at the same time be relieved?
Think of normal human behaviour at the point someone tells you something that affects your emotions. After all Mary and Joseph were only human.
Why would Jesus say that when they were worried to death? He told them in a way like, "You should have known I would be in My Father's House." How could they have understood that then and there just like that?

The upper water is called ‘raqiya , and is described as a solid, metallic like canopy surrounding the earth. A special super cold band surrounds the earth.The earth was like in an air-conditioned state.
The Lord God had not sent rain on the earth ...but streams (a mist) came up from the earth or dew at night and watered the whole surface of the ground...Gen. 2:6.

You may be thinking if this canopy is possible?
It has to be.
Venus has a canopy. Jupiter has belts. Saturn has rings. Mars has ice caps. Jupiter apparently possesses great oceans of ammonia and an atmosphere of methane and hydrogen, while our own planet possesses immense reflective oceans of water, repeatedly covered and uncovered by cyclonic systems which swirl across its atmosphere. Examine the condition of Venus.

sweetstuff: Saw a hurricane outside my window, not pleasant, no power for over a week with two kids, yippey! But we were safe, that's all that matters. As for blizzards, I live in Canada, so yeah, been there, done that

If you trace the origin of Allah you will find that it does not lead back to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as Islam claims. It goes back to an ancient, pagan Arabian moon idol. And even today that is what Islam use to guide them .....the moon.

Anyways I answered that question over and over and over again. I am not a former JW and I never was one. I know some JW people though. We used to have a lot WT magazines. Because they used to come and talk to us at home. The magazines were pretty so ofcourse I was interested. But the content wasn't bad until I realised they crazy things that was being said. I grew up reading a lot of other books too. I was and is always surrounded by Hindus, Muslims, Catholics every and all the religions you can think about. However, there was nothing better than the bible (KJV or New King James version) for me and all the interesting facts in it. Those have been very inspiring, comforting and gives hope as you read it. It even makes me laugh and cry. All the books based on the contents of the Bible I like to read. I am a believer in Christ. I am not perfect....I know that. Who is perfect? Only Jesus Christ.
As I mentioned somewhere, I loved as a child Hans Christian Anderson fairytales, and other cool books, etc but hey I know the difference between fiction and truth. We learnt to distinguish between what is real and what is not.
Oh and of course I know better than to say I evolved from King Kong.

And who on earth would that be? Is it your ancestor? It is amazing we haven't seen any monkeys and apes evolving to date. I know for a fact the climate had nothing to do with it.
Man was man from the beginning and monkey and ape were animals since then too. No evolution could change that.
Compare cats to dogs. The egyptians portray cats as being very historical, important and mystical. Did cats evolve from uh let's say catfish? After all the theory is about the ocean now.
