My Uncle is Dying.
by LouBelle innearly a year ago my uncle was diagnosed with prostate cancer - he initially thought it was just a bladder infection and it took him passing out to go have more serious tests.
thus he received this news and shared it with us, his family.. the family rallied behind him and we all did everything we could to get him to his treatments, make sure he ate properly and supported him.
my cousins came out from the uk when it looked like he was going to die in a couple of days.

BANG OUT OF ORDER
by watersprout inbang out of order seems to have made a couple of posters laugh on here, as they had never heard it before.. it's wierd for me because it's a saying i have always heard/used...good old british slang.. it means that what someone has said is hurtful and unacceptable.. some slang terms from where i come from in the ''black country''.. up the wooden hills - go to bed.
put the wood in the hole - shut the door.
chuffed - pleased.

Iconoclast - I had to force my hubby to eat veggies when I married him because he was convinced that the only way you cook veggies is to boil the hell outta them and he woudn't eat em
Are you suggesting that when cooking Christmas dinner, we put the sprouts on to boil around mid-October? lol

I'm local to both Birmingham and the Black Country (I have some difficulty understanding the dialect, lol). I felt compelled to post this picture, a Black Country pub which has 'subsided' due to mining industry - you feel Brahms before even having a drink, lol (Brahms = Brahms and Liszt = p*ssed)

Any JW, please help- I need just one thing!
by moshe in--the name of a real live (not dead) member of the faithful and discreet slave class- someone who has admitted in public they are one of the f&ds and who can verify they have been providing the "meat in due season" for the governing body.
obviously the gb can't be the f&ds, because they are neither discreet nor do they have a position of servitude- no, they have made it plain they are the bosses over jws and jws have to obey their words, as if jehovah and jesus were speaking them, or else they will get the disfellowshiped.
just one verifiable name will do and how you obtained it.. the governing body claims that the f&ds are directing them and the worldwide work of jws, but they have never proven that they have a f&ds class they communicate with- just have one of the annointed call bethel and ask to speak to one of the gb and see what the switchboard operator does with their call.

The Infamous May 15th 1984 Watchtower "1914: The Generation That Will Not Pass Away"

i do not know how the blogger who posted this infamous wt cover (5/15/84) got all the names of those who posed for this magazine cover, or whether the names are even correct, but if he got it right, man, what a provocative statement.. .

So anyone with their bluetooth device turned on would automatically receive the image? Your bluetooth would search for other activated bluetooths and send the pic to whichever device is turned on?
No, the recipient would have to accept it, but MY thinking is that they would most likely accept it as it could only have been sent from within the Kingdom Hall because of the range. So, they wouldn't be suspicious of who it came from, a fellow JW (but they'd know a flier would have come from an outsider). So far better chance of successfully delivering info.

Also, although you'd pick up active Bluetooth phones, you wouldn't know who they were (unless you happen to know that Sister X has named her phone 'Sister Whiplash') but you will be able to see how many phones you've sent image to.

You would still need individual cell phone numbers to send it, though, right?
No, that's the beauty of it. When the Bluetooth on your phone is turned on, it will search for other Bluetooth devices. What usually happens is you'll pick up different phones, eg 'Nokia3600' or 'Samsung10' (i've made those up, lol). Or sometimes, 'Sexy Sue' (people sometimes 'name' their phones - I've called mine 'MidwichCuckoo', so that name would be visble for anyone searching for a Bluetooth device within range of my phone - but they wouldn't know it's ''me''). Am I making sense?

PC - yes, it's particularly good info. Your idea costs you money. You may be seen - and the JWs will realise the fliers are placed by someone outside the Org (I'm not trying to rubbish your idea, I'm just weighing up, what I believe, is the better option)
Bluetooth is free. There are a lot of board members who still attend meetings. Bluetooth has a limited range. JWs will have their mobile phones on (on silent) during meetings. If they receive a Bluetooth message, they will *know* it came from a member of congregation (but they won't know who) so they WILL read/see it and it will be private (they won't need to worry about anyone else seeing they have it).

June 15th WT - WT Society Pressures JW Parents to Indoctrinate Children
by flipper inin a non-study article in the jw only watchtower is an article titled " should youths get baptized ?
" the wt society is losing young people in very large numbers - so how else to try stemming the exodus than putting pressure on jw parents to indoctrinate and instill mind control into their children ?
in one section here in this article it almost sounds like a version of " 20 questions " that the wt society asks parents to determine if their children are making " spiritual progress " as they phrase it.

I don't know what to think. I was told (a few years ago) by a member of my former Cong. that young teens were 'begging' their parents to get baptised, but the parents were making them wait. So, either the parents are wising up and anticipating what is going to happen, or this person is delusional in believing that kids actually want to get baptised, and because they're not (getting baptised) there must be a 'logical' reason why not.
