  My reply: Because they were simply not a part of the Jewish cultrue, as Boxing Day is not a part of the American culture.

  My reply: JWs are not Christians for one thing- they are a pseudo-Christian cult. That being said, there has never been reduced one single Christian principle or Bible writing to show birthdays should not be observed. Therefore, Christians show recognition of the life God gave by observing one's birthday.

  yes, that's right, they really do not like people being able to read that book so they wanted links to it removed (it appears they have also been going after the hosts of the content itself as well).. unfortunately, i had to removed the links (which were dead anyway when i checked) and i'd ask that people don't re-post them (sorry).

  i'm sure there are lots of alternative ways for those with the information to get it to those who need it.. here are the discussions on the book:.

  What do y'all do on your JW baptism anniversary?

  i used to use that day to ponder the state of my jw spirituality, make goals, feel guilty, etc.

  this is my first exjw baptism anniversary.. does anyone have any fun suggestions to commemorate an un-baptism?.

  Jesus Trashes 1914 in ONE Sentence!

  it only takes one short sentence from the bible to thoroughly demolish the watchtower religion and the doctrine they claim is their most important one.

  this sentence is so crystal clear that there is no way the wts can weasal out of it.

  that's why they don't even try.. although their real most important doctrine is that the governing body speaks for god, their claimed most important doctrine begins with the notion that jesus took kingdom power and began reigning in 1914. if that doctrine can be shown to be false, the entire watchtower theology scam crumbles into the trash heap where it belongs.
