  Arachnaphobia - I hate spiders

  anyone who does not the like killing any of god's creatures, please do not read this.. i just laid in bed for over an hour trying to sleep until i heard a faint noise which sounded like lots of feet scrabbling around.

  for a minute i thought there were rats somewhere.

  i laid there for a minute my eyes darting around in the dark and i could feel my pulse going.

  I would'nt reccomend a holiday in Australia if you can't stand crawling/slithering things. We have the crown jewels of killers!!

  lol Ballistic your braver than i am.... I wouldn't go near the spider at all, i would go and sleep in the lounge or something.

  I have the worst phobia on Spiders, I would check every corner as I enter the room and I get really spooked while having a shower, afraid that one will jump out..... I do get hunsmands a fair bit in The bathroom and in the kitchen area. oh and I cannot go outside in my backyard at night there are always a whole heap of big ones

  Sometimes i'm not that bad... I can be more braver than other times.

  Angharad, I didn't know there was another admin on this forum I thought Simon was the only admin and the rest were "Forum assistants"

  One tactic I try is to imagine the spider is your worst enemy or someone you dispise, then u can kill it die evil spider DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  *although that idea doesn't work for me *

  Since it is obvious all religion is wrong why do so many believe?

  any religion that claims it is the only correct one is obviously wrong.

  by it's arrogance it becomes mutually exclusive of any other religion.

  when one steps back they can see that the contradiction of one religion over the others is a proof that they all must be wrong.

  Not all religions are black and white like that not at all! you may have experianced that as a Jehovah's Witness as they believe that Worldy people are bad and the organisation is good and the truth, that is very much like a characteristic of a Cult.

  I don't think Buddhists are evil, I don't think other church demoninations are evil.

  Of cause all religions would claim to be the right religion, if a religion taught that it was all fiction and false then really it wouldn't be much of a religion.

  Religion is a belief, we all have our things we believe in, if the religion was walking around calling itself false then really it is not a belief because there is nothing to believe (Ok this post is giving me a headache)

  A question regarding idol worship

  would it be appropriate to adorn buildings and homes of jehovah's witnesses with watchtower symbols?

  for example, put gold castle emblems over the entrence to my home.

  would this be frowned apon as a form of idol worship?

  Well that is hard to say...

  If you put a emblem of the watchtower up on your house, would it be there in honour of the Watchtower? if so it may fall into the category.

  The main thing is idol worship is having a statue and treating "it" like a God and Worshipping "it" and looking at the statue as if it had the divine power of a God, then yes that would be idol worshipping.

  You are to Worship God and God alone, not the Watchtower.

  Really i'm not sure on this one

  18 YEAR OLDS

  an 18 year old supposed to be a young adult.. there are certain things an 18 year old supposed to do.. there are certain ways an 18 year old should behave.. there are certain things an 18 year is still not old enough to do.. what is your opinion?.

  how do you feel concerning 18 year old males and females.. concerning an 18 year old female..... should she sleep until 12 or 11 in the morning?.

  responsibility to cook, clean ----help out around the house?.

  All I can say is most 18 year olds really hate it when their parents are real control freaks over their lives.

  They are old enough to make their own desitions (well most of them) and it really bothers them when their parents are not very trusting.

  An 18 year old supposed to be a young adult.

  I don't know what it is like in other countries but 18 year olds are on their last year of high school and are working towards uni or their job, so yes they should be considered young adults.

  There are certain things an 18 year old supposed to do.

  Guaduate from secondary school and prepare for their future, if wish to get their 'P's have a great 18th party and are now legally allowed to smoke and drink alcohol however they are not allowed to contain any alcohol at all while on their 'P's the limit is 0.5 but 'P' platers and "L' platers are not allowed to even be 0.1

  There are certain ways an 18 year old should behave.

  Well I know several 18 year olds that are into carebears and sailormoon of cause I see nothing wrong with that Sailormoon is cool

  All 18 year olds are different some mature quickly than others.

  There are certain things an 18 year is still not old enough to do.

  It is really hard to judge it really depends on the level of maturity

  I think smoking should hold off untill you are at least 21.

  What is your opinion?

  why not? sleeping is the best? what does age have to matter?

  It will help at that age to learn those skills for when you move out and live on your own. like how to work a washing machine and dishwasher

  Whats wrong with giggling? Heaps of 18 year olds are a real happy laughing lot, this goes for all age groups, it is really the individuality weather you are a giggling one or not.

  Try to outdo others in fashion wear?

  This again goes for all ages, I don't care much for fashion, so really its up to the individual weather they are into fashion or not.

  ok, some people may call me a heartless bastard for making this thread, but i have to be honest.. i really don't care about the hurricane victims.

  i highly doubt that the people walking through walmart with shopping carts full of clothing and electronics would send me one f'ing red cent if i was in need (and i am in need, by the way).. i just can't find it in my heart to care at all.

  maybe i'm the only one who thinks like this, but i've been struggling to survive for the past 2 years and no one has ever lifted a finger to help me.

  Been told that Cyclones/twister/hurricane (same thing but named different in different countries) happen all the time we just don't hear about it, but certain Hurricanes attract the media and we do hear alot about it.

  I understand your views Sonneyboy, different things struck chords for different people, one person may feel for world poverty while somebody else would feel for Rights getting abused.

  Katrina seems to be a sensitive topic discussed over and over on this forum, there are like millions of threads on it lol!

  God and Bin Laden - why don’t you hate them both?

  bin laden was responsible for the attacks on 9/11 in which thousands lost their lives.

  katrina was an act of god.

  not only has katrina also killed thousands it has also destroyed the homes and jobs of hundreds of thousands.

  Actually it says in the bible (can't remember where) that God generally warns his people of his actions before he does it and he generally sends out prophets and gives plenty of warning, so therefore it could not really be an act of God.

  Also with faith God can turn our adversities into blessings, if we have faith and trust God, he can help us in our time of suffering.

  Now Bin laden does not do any of these.
